If you live on mercenaries, you won't live long - An old adage, if you understand and could correlate that.
He wants to milk the country's name just like a Pepsi or Nestle does with their brands and then discard it the moment it's done.
I won't mind his comments(no Indian good enough, that includes him as well) if he renames his team as Team UB or Team Kingfisher but please note India is not a commodity for sale.

even though i do not agree with your tenor, i do agree that naming his team as F1 india is too corny ... he should rename it to F1 Royal Challenge ... after all it jells with his IPL team too ...
Mallya showing his frustration by saying so because he was denied the chance to setup a race track to do his showbiz. He is purely business fellow and wants to promote his liquor products indirectly through this racing business.

so what is wrong .. why does that trouble you? if he shouldn't promote his liquor business then what else should he do ?? do u want to give it all up and become a sanyasi in varanasi ???
When narain got a chance in F1 in 2005, he was simply blaming his car(Jordon), telling its not good. In fact many big names like Michael Schumacher etc., has started their careers in Jordon. And now karun is doing the same thing, blaming his GP2 car and calling simulator a TOY. He tell the same thing when given chance to drive for Force India when he doesn't perform. So, I think Mallaya is right.

mallya would have himself taken an indian driver if anyone was capable enough.. as it would make good business sense and increase viewership to see indian race in indian colors.. but the it is a fact that there is just no indian driver fit for F1 as yet..
