Sania - an embarrassment!
by incognito forever on Sep 04, 2009 05:42 PM

Sania is an embarrassment to India and it's budding youngters. She has no commitment, no fighting spirit and willingness to learn and improve. To add to this, she has failed to even utilize her gifted li'l talent.

She you should stop playing Tennis for the good of sports community.

sania mirza is just FUSSS
by deepak kotnis on Sep 03, 2009 08:39 PM

i still dont understand why we give so much importance to what sania mirza is doing in grad slams. she is a dum and extremely low standerd player in the class of the elite game. her only positive is she is from a country where tennis is watched more than playing and women are not ahead in tennis. so she is like that rich guy of a small village who is the only one to own a car. but that doesnt make him the best when he travells out of his village. wish sania a happy married life and house wife status ... i am sure she made enough to have a nice life. forget bout her tennis ..

Sania and US Championship
by Venkatachalam on Sep 03, 2009 06:20 PM

It is funny to read Sania's comments that if her Italian victor continued to place the same standard she will win the US championship. Does this mean that Sania played like a runner-up in the Championship? Champoions are made of sterner stuff.

SANIA reminds me of.........
by Kelvin on Sep 03, 2009 02:04 PM  | Hide replies

Except yesterday's worst defeat, Sania reminds me of Monica Seles, she use to play similar fire game 15 years back. She is Monica Seles of India. Todays young boys do not know about Monica seles.I am 32 today and watching Tennis for last 15 years.

Monica Seles was a world class player who defeated the best of the best to win grand slam tournaments. She was swift on court, grunted like a pig, had a killer forehand and whitewashed the great Steffi Graf on more than one occassion. Sania gets whitewashed by players of far less calibre than Seles.

Surprising that Sania is compared to Monica Seles! Sania is good only in patches and will not win any major tournaments because of lack of focus.

Sania- bug in tennis
by xxx dragon on Sep 03, 2009 01:43 PM

Sania, better keep your mouth shut and dnt play tennis. V r ashamed coz of u. dnt degrade our country by playing faultered tennis at world level. U r not fit enough and capable too.
really getting irritated to hear same words again and again. If u r not confident, y the hell u participated? For money? Then get it but close ur mouth shut after the defeat.

Can make wonders.....
by nt g on Sep 03, 2009 01:25 PM

SANIA can make wonders in Badminton. (If not in Tennis). There is less compitition in Badminton, her Forehand might prove "Too much "
in Badminton. With practise of good ground coverage in tennis will help her as
"All Court complete player " .She will not have to face likes of Serena, safina, Pennetta, Maria, Lucy etc. She can beat chinese at ease. Surely go Past Saina Nehwal, So high time for Sania to shift to Badminton. However she will get lesser money.

Way to go - improvement to 6-0, 6-0. Great!
by C Kr on Sep 03, 2009 11:56 AM  | Hide replies

Sania has not only kept a consistent 1st round, 2nd round record, but has improved on it with this zero zero thrashing received. well done. Khel Ratna?

Please do not again say 'at least an Indian has come so far, first woman from India etc' - it just speaks of v.low expectations and low standards. Such achievements mean nothing - first rd singles, 2nd rd doubles.... kids younger than Sania from wartorn countries have won GSlams.

The scary thing is - she is the best from India.

We just have to get off this 'best in India, at least a woman from India' nonsense. If we settle for such b's the country won't have any real stars. Please stop even saying 'then what have you done, at least she has lost in Wim'. She's a professional, that's what she is supposed to do.

From next time onwards Sania is going to give a walk-over to her opponents because she cannot move on court because of huge weight she carries and then her wrist injury and God knows what else. Join films Sania, you might win awards by doing skin show in movies where all uncles from the south industries would be ready to grope you nicely.
