No disgrace to lose to a side as accomplished as Barca. Yes, on paper and on the night, Man U did have a better squad, but these things happen. It might so easily have been the other way round, had Man U managed to draw first blood. Rsults do not lie, but this loss doesn't take away the gloss from the wonderful season that Man U have had.
For me Iniesta is the best player in the world.He and Xavi are the core of Barcelona's success in Spain and in Europe. Being a ManUtd fan I was very happy when Iniesta was doubtful for the final but he played and showed his class.I was also very impressed by Puyol , The Barca captain.The had a fantastic game and really kept Rooney quite who was playing on Left hand side for ManUtd. Barcelona could have won by 4-5 or even six goals. Van Der Sar made a couple of great saves with Xavi hitting the woodwork ..All in all its a great learning lesson for United who in my view were over confident. The Ronaldos and Rooneys of this world have to buckle down and accept that they let the team down. I read a acticle of The Sun stating that Ronaldo has blamed Fergie for the tactics in the final. This is childish from Ronaldo. The coach had his tactics spot on with Fletcher suspended. The only thing was that he could have started with Tevez in place of Park but simply that is not the reason for United's debacle. Carrick had a awful game and so did Park. The Midfield of United only chased the ball. I am sure we will bounce back better and stronger next season. We did win 3 trophies this season and that in itself is a feat. At last I want to say that Its my wish that Fiegie sells Ronaldo to Madrid and keeps Tevez..Players like Ronaldo can never be loyal and will always jump the ships and this pisses me off. He forgets that he became and footballer from a dribbler because of Sir Alex.

Mate he hasnt blamed Fergie for the tactics. What he meant was if you read the article in other newspapers or websites "the players didnt work hard to make the tactics work".
The Sun are the most bullish newspaper in the UK. They come out with weird stories just to sell their paper. Alright.
Tactics sometimes dont work. It didnt work for Barca in their previous 2 matches as well. They drew against Villareal 3-3 and the lost to Mallorca 2-1. So you see sometimes it doesnt work for even the best of teams?

Well thats something I have to agree with mate. But I just want Fergie to keep Tevez. If Ronaldo goes then we have to keep Tevez. He is a great player and plays with his heart. I just can't understand why SAF is reluctant to play the 30 millions odd to keep him. He payed nearly that for berba and for me Tevez is as good as Berba if not better.

Tevez is great man, hes a fighter. Theres no doubt in my mind we need him. Berba is an awesome player as well. Mark my word he is going to be a brilliant player for us next season. He has amazing ball control. i would go to the extent to say he is better than Tevez..but we need to see that commitment from him a bit more next season.
Look at the stats my friend both have almost played more games in the premier league. Tevez has an odd 6-7 goals to his name. Berba has odd 9-11 goals..but has 16 assists as well. Tevez around 1-2 (Premier League stats)
Anyways with respect to the 30 million price tag..i dont think Tevez is worth that much as well, plus hes contracted through an agent and not a club which makes dealings harder and in the current RECESSION and its not worth the money.

I am a die hard Manchester United Fan. But Messi scored above all. That header was a stunner. The red Devils are to blame themselves. They should have been one up by 1min 44 sec of Ronaldo's free kick. The first was a gift. But well done Barcelona. You are the best of the best. As i had written yesterday, my mind says something else.
Although i am a Man United fan, for the first time in many many years i have seen them been beaten in an embarassingly and convincing manner. Although Barcelona started the game nervously, the magic moment from Eto turned the fate of the game. So Congratulaions BARCA.
What i now wanna see for the coming season from Barcelona is that, if they are really worthy winners can they reach the Champions League finals again.
We cannot forget the fact that Man United was the only club this year to have played more matches than any other club (66 to be precise in all competitions)and with all the fatigue and injuries they have still managed to reach the finals trying to defend their crown. After winning the CL last year, they still managed to win the Community Shield, World Club Cup, Carling Cup, Premier League Champions, reached the semi-finals of FA Cup and reached the Champions League Finals again this year. Only a great club like Man United can achieve this feat.
If Barca can do the same next year I would salute them or if they cannot then all will know why UNITED ARE THE GREATEST TEAM OF ALL.

Barca were undoubted the best on the night BUT THE REAL CHAMPIONS FO EUROPE ARE CHELSEA. THEY SHUT OUT BARCA AND BARCA FLUKED A LAST GASP GOAL AND THE REFEREE ROBBED THE MATCH FROM CHELSEA BY NOT GIVING ATLEAST 2 PENALTIES.

ha ha.. grapes are sour.. isn't it.. It was the same referee in the same match, who pulled out a questionable red card in chelsea's favor to force barca play with 10 men..and out of all the penalty claims, only one was a definite penalty..and barca were also denied one in the first leg..
C'mon...just accept that there are still teams alive on planet earth who PLAY FOOTBALL and win !!!!

the whole world is saying the norwwegian ref should ve never refereed and is a disgrace
chelsea were denied atleast 2 penalties. i am not denying barca is a good team but Chelsea outplayed them over 2 legs YES INDEED ande wwere of the CL final
and remember barca didnt technically beat chelsea, they lucked out on away rule goal

There is only a very thin thread between being positive and being arrogant..the moment i read your Sir's comments b4 the match on how Man U are better than madrid in playing with white kit, that arrogant "men vs boys" rant from Evra etc.. i knew they were in for some spanking to come to reality.. Yesterday's match was like watching "men vs kids" .. :)

Yeah, you are correct.. I am an arrogant madrid fan who got upset by your more than arrogant SIR calling us a mob and laughing out that the loss against barca was not just a defeat but an annihilation etc etc.. (To understand this one need not study in Oxford , i believe)..

What a match between two different ways of playing the same game and the graceful way won.
Attacks by Messi and Eto'o, mid feild play by Xavi and Iniesta and the solid defence of Barca left ManU dump found and never looked like making a match. In the Barca team only two players seemed to be not contributing, T Henry who was completely out of touch having not played for long and Goalkeeper Valdes as ManU never seemed like breaching the defence and putting Valdes to test.
Rio did not do any defending at all...he was just playing like if he is training...!! n Van der sar..did not do anything in 1st half..well he was superb in 2nd half except that messi goal..!! RIO SHAME ON U...!!
