She is already in top 10. Now she might move to top 5 very soon.
After being a quarterfinalist in olympics, she played consistently to reach quarterfinals in many tournaments. her maiden title was philiphines open. Now a super series title, biggest win in her career.
It is amazing, in a sport drought country, she could make one million people happy at a time.
Congrats to Saina on the World title. As an Indian and a Hyderabadi, feel proud . I hope the Media and Advertising Sharks will not spoil her and leave her alone. They have already spoilt Sania Mirza,Yuvaraj, Ishant and MSD.

You must understand that BAI is not a rich body like BCCI. I am sure the government will announce some award for her. However these felicitations and awards should be kept down to bare minimum. A young player can easily lose focus because of sudden fame.

You stupid bum! Did Cristiano Ronaldo start getting 1,00,000 pounds per week in his first season? It is a different thing if one gets money and attention in proportion to his performance. Ronaldo has started getting the money after he performed top class. To him, fame and money was not sudden. If one gets fame disproportionate to his/her performance, it can make him/her lose focus.
