All praise ro our team. So nice to see football make headline rather than cricket.
However, rediff should have mentioned the cash prizes announced and also Salman agreeing to be the sport's ambassador for
India, free of charge. Good show all around.

Good To see News on Rediff

It is nice to read this item on Rediff. For long Rediff has been the enemy of Indian Football, and will seldom post news on Indian Football. In fact some days ago, Sports heading was labeled as Cricket by Rediff.

is relentless and a tremendous fighter...he has the guts of oliver kahn and brilliance of the great Danish Schimichael... he can play for an european club thats what he deserves right now..
havent seen so much confidence in his/her skill for a long time ...he delivers day in and day out ..its crazy to see his dedication and motivation on the field....hes so consistent with his saves ..its almost a god like ability to save penalties and such close shaves during the matches ...even in the tie breaker the ones he missed he had near 70% accuracy as he jumped on the 'right' side where the ball was directed to when shot..great reflexes and super cool agility

If we can beat Syria....

Then i think we have the potential to be among the best Asian teams....qualification for World cup then is not far away....

South Korea, Japan, Saudi will be top league...

India can surely steal one slot from the Asian zone...

Can India now compete with European teams???
by Bhasmasur Khan on Sep 01, 2009 01:57 AM  | Hide replies

Maybe this is the step in the right direction.....
Maybe next step would be to compete on level terms with European giants like Holland, Germany and England.....

It would be an ultimate Lagaan story if we could beat the England team at Wembley in front of the Queen.....
