IT IS COMMENDABLE THAT INDIA HAS WON THE TOURNAMENT BUT WE MUST REALISE THE FOLLOWING NAKED FACTS (1)NON OF THE TOP WORLD CLASS TEAM PARTICIPATED IN THE TOURNAMENT (2)EVEN IF THERE WAS SOUTH KOREAN TEAM WHICH WOULD HAVE GIVEN A TOUGH FIGHT (3)NO EUOROPEAN POWER HOUSE, NO AUSTRALIA

Keep hoping. Unless their physical fitness issues are tackled head on, it is impossible to beat teams from OZ and Europe. Skillwise India is at par with the best of the best. But in tough physical matches India is no match to those blokes.
Shame on the media!!! If this was a tri series cricket tournament, comprising Bangladesh kenya & India, which India would have definitely won . The print media would have come up with frontpage news apart from the sports page, while the electronic media would have made special arrangements for direct telecasting. This same media paradoxically asks questions to people in power in IHF, why hockey in India is suffering?? BLAH!!

There is no use blaming the media yaar. Media telecasts whatever would have a good audience. We the people dont really give much importance to hockey matches and therefore, they dont telecast it. We got ourselves to blame. Lets hope more victories will change the state of things

yes, you are right Tusahr, yester day evening I tried a lot but I could not see the coverage in any news channel. Only it was coming as a breaking news. India needs good and honest media now. I think double shame on media for not making it a mojor news as they do it with cricket and in case of Sania Mirza.
It is gr8 news for Indian hocket Team... But it is also shaemful for Indian Media that is not promoting Hockey as cricket is being promoted.... Well done Hocket keep it UP....and give india Hockey Worldcup also.... All the best...Cheers....
