Nadal great
by kareem on Sep 08, 2008 09:18 AM  | Hide replies

I mentioned earlier , Nadal enter in semifinal because he hasn't faced any good players yet, I knew Murry far better than Nadal in hard court but some guys
(Nadal fans ) was shouting at me, I am simphothy on them, because they don't know what is tennis, what is hard court, more over who is federer.they like some noise and wild shots..
Trye to understand what is class? What is beauty..

I also predicted two days ago that Murray can beat Nadal and some blind fans of Nadal were shouting on me.

As if though Mr. Bansal Amit is playing tennis for last 3 decades..LOL..
People cant take success of NADAL.
Thats whay peolpe are yelling like anything..
Roger has already said "If i m not No1, then only other person to be is RAFA"!
No u know rite what he is.. Fedx Fans cant digest the fact that, only person who cantame Federer on any court is Rafa (read NOW)..
Even Fedx in his best form, would fear Rafa on any day (I am sure he will be reliebed that RAFA is out of U S open).
I am not saying anything against Roger (we cant man, he is the all time best),
but some day a person has to come down of the Pinnacle rite?
Rafa is still 22, even if he wins 1 Gslam a year (atleast Roland Garros is sure!) for next 5 yrs, he will win a total of 12 GS!!
Think..dont just Yell..

Naldal is not a great player on hard courts!!
by Bhasmasur on Sep 08, 2008 08:58 AM  | Hide replies

The Nadal/Murray match proved that Nadal is not as great a player on hard courts as he is on clay and even on grass...Grass and clay allow him to play his viciously top spinning game from behind the baseline....grass and clay also allow him to vary pace and dictate the course of ther rally to his opponent..

Hard courts do not have much tack and do not allow much friction....the slicing and topspinning game is thus rendered ineffective on this artificial surface...for the same reason, Nadal is also not a very good player on indoor carpet!!

The match also proved that Murray can be very successful on clay too...he has a tremedous back court game...very powerful and a greater consistency than Safin or Roddick!!
Murray will make it to the last 4 stage and ahead of many hard court torunaments in the future!!
Whether he will be able to replicate that form on clay remains to be seen!!

It's not like that....nadal is not a good player at grass too....this yr if u saw the match at wimbledon....u must have seen that the court was destroyed like anything....it was not a grass court anymore....litterary turned into clay court....
moreover for fed...there is some psycological impression on fed that he cannot beat nada.....either it is caly....or grass....or even at hard court fed losses his confidence....fed can play at clay too....you can see him going to finals beating good players...

As u said, RAFA has instilled rather imprinted the FEAR in FEDX...LOL

Respect what RAFA has achieved..Then u understand why Fedx has such a pathetic year by his own standards..reason RAFA...

Murray proves that he has it in him!!!!
by Bhasmasur on Sep 08, 2008 08:27 AM

Murray proved that he belongs to the top league in tennis!! For a couple of years, Murray was always seen as a good player but never in he top league..with this victory, he has left people like Ferrer, Davydenko, Verdasco far behind...

Federer, Nadal, Djoker and Murray will provide a lot of fun and excitement in the coming years.....
Hopefully, Ferrer, Del Potro, Tipsarevic, Verdasco, Wawrinka will all step up a gear and mens tennis will become as competitive as it used to be in the Lendl/Wilander/Becker/Edberg era!!

Cheers,
Bhamsamsur

It was a convincing win.......
by vidhya h on Sep 08, 2008 08:20 AM  | Hide replies

Nadal was left panting, thats what i saw in the stadium. Muray was brilliant, although I was supporting a Nadal-federer finals and wanted nadal to win for that purpose alone, Murray deserved the win as he played better tennis.

Nadal looked ordinary,he played well in the 3rd set but was tired and panting.

It also proves that its not easy maintaining a winning streak and fed held it for 4 and a half years with amazing consistency. The guy reached his 18th consecutive semi's with his so called "poor form" yet has reached 3 finals and a semi's.

fed rules, he has proved once ahain that he is an undisputed legend

Zipping between Wimbledon, Beijing and now NY has shown its toll on Nadal. It looks clear that he is tired

and federer has monocolosis or galndular fever which drained his stamina and physical strength, which takes atleast7-8 months to recover thats not an excuse is it.

so its ok for Nadal but not for federer when he was ill and still hasnt recovered.

Nadal undoubtedly deserves the NO 1 but todays defeat was bcoz Murray played better and Nadal was fairly beaten.

Moreover, federer played wimbledon finals, beijing both singles and doubles and is also in NY playing his heart out struggling and yet not fully recovered from the glandular fever, yet he made it.

All in all it makes Roger's achievement all the more legendary. It is easy to be number 1 but to maintain it for 4.5 years, to win 12 GS and be in 18 semifinals at a trot!!
Man, Fedex is great!!

Finals will be a good match though i was secretly hoping for another FEedex-Rafa bout. Nothing can come close to that :)

... And so there are 4 !!!!
by Guest on Sep 08, 2008 07:46 AM

What a match ... never thought I would see Nadal left panting after a rally... it was like Andy decided to give him the taste of his own medicine.... and so Andy overcomes nerves, rain delays, court changes (Armstrong to Arthur Ashe) etc. to win 3 sets over Nadal (convincingly if I may add) and stamped a seal on his soon to acquire no. 4 in the world status...

Unlike the last no. 4, David Ferrer who considered the top 3 from a different zone and himself the No. 1 for the masses... Andy means business .... he feels he belongs... and he does....as evident in the semis today...

With Federer having convincingly taken care of the brash Nole... its sets up an intriguing finale... Federed Vs. Murray

It might Surprise many that Murray actually leads the H2H 2-1 having won both the recent meetings... In fact in the last meeting in Dubai Round 1 Murray didn't face a break point... but this is a Grand Slam final.. this is a resurgent Federer vs a first time finalist Murray... and I feel Federer will be the man holding his 5th consecutive US Open and 13th Grandslam for the career and who knows he still might end the year as no. 1 despite the brilliance of Nadal...

Go Roger...

Good one by murray
by DARSHAN BHAVSAR on Sep 08, 2008 07:26 AM

Yeah he is very honest and hard working player already he beat djokovic in final in atp before us open start in same tournament in semis djokovic beat nadal so already at that time murray displayed his talent who already have a healthy lead against swiss roger 2-1 from past three games so there will be 50-50 channce for both of them but federer have a age of experience and he will try to again get the top spot which he definetely deserve it again.Murray rises very well and he can go very long if he continue maintain this kind of form which its good for briton and for world of tennis.Time to countdown final show against two fine tennis players So guys dont miss this great final tomorrow.
