I really thank rediff to put this on the first page of their website.

Anand is a national hero and chess is a beautiful game, which deserves attention even if not at the level of cricket.

Thanks Rediff.

what an Invention mr pepepopo. You will find only negative aspect in everything Indian. If you do not know anything Mahabharat restrain from expressing your adolsent opinion. There is a reason for everything. You cannot quote any incident out of context just to suit your needs. In short shut up.

vishy is a remarkable human being

he is a dignified man who has a fast brain and no nonsense attitude
but lets not say that chess is a sport and a chess player is a sportsperson, if u go to any sports country(australia/usa/england/china/russia/germany/italy/france)and say that chess is a sport, then they would mock you into the near sea
chess is a board game, it is in the category of academics and not sport
coz, we india do not have any world champion, we are desperate and we think it is completely right to call chess a sport which is not correct, chess does not require any athletic flair

Chess is a sport as you have to be physically and mentally fit to be a champion. Kasparove used to go for two km sea swimming every day to keep fit. All GMs do weight training.

The Tamil Brahmins in villages perform Tri Kala Sandhyavandhanam and chant Gayatri Mantra. All the Tamil Brahmin localities in villages have big ponds where they swim. Further, they do surya namaskarams. This gives mental and physical strength.

World chess championships are like art movies directed by Satayajit ray,Mrinal sen or Adoor Gopalalkrishnan. No dialogues,no action, only dead music. They just think, think, think for hours to amke a move just like schizoprenics.

errrrrr.... u guys really need to get a hold of urselves!!!

for those mocking vishwanathan: whether he's got a pot-belly or not doesnt really matter does it?? u and i havent achieved even a pinch of what he has and i therefore dont think we'v got any right to put the man down.. and for those mocking the south, lack of drinking water, pond, etc are due to geographical reasons and are no fault of the southerners!!

and yea... bout the “looting karnataka & kerala” for water thing we'r all human and need basic necessities!! we are in a time where everyone's talking bout world peace and unity among nations... i dont see how thats possible when we'r discussing crap like this within a country... im not some patriotic freak or something nor am i tryin to be one!! im jus tryin to get u guys to be human...

if ur able type stuff here im sure ur fairly educated... its high time u started behaving like an educated person does..

:)
