A few days ago in a match he ended last, there were so many adverse comments about Anand. Now he is again proving his might. I hope he permanently seals negative reports in this match and bring honours to India.

Anand has done enough accomplisments already for his image to be affected by the negative comments of some foolish people.

This tie-break rule doesn't apply to this match. If it's a tie after 12 games, the winner will be decided by Rapid tie-break games followed by a sudden death Rapid game, if required.

Yes Vishwananth Anand immensely desires highest award for sports - for he has been truly a charming figure ON & OFF field. Made his mark on his own efforts at a time when Russians were dominating the game

He was the FIRST recipient of the highest sports award in India: The Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award. One of the finest Indians in sports and games, if not the greatest. Hope he defends his title this time by defeating Kramnik.

Vishwanathan Anand is certainly a great performer in chess and I wish he should (and hope will) be the World Champ. But it doesn't mean he (or any other sportsperson) deserves something like Bharat Ratna. Padma Bhushan/Vibhushan is enough. I do not say this to belittle him. On the contrary, being a chess fan myself I have high regard for him and Anand is the only Indian from whom I once took an autograph.
