Rediff - Be careful about the headlines you publish

Rediff -
I listened to Leander's interview in television and also read your news in website.
He has told many constructive and good words to Mahesh so that he can reconsider his opinion.
But iam highly disappointed that Rediff has published the heading "Bhupathi's comments childish: Paes".

Rediff should not think about just making people read its news and put some headlines which makes people to read the article with curiositry hurts the sentiments of the players if they read this article.

this also give a wrong message to the people.

You are 100% correct. Better to make positive points than a sinle point on the top. I see he is talking positively about Mahesh and urging him to play.

Geriatrics both

Even if they were to practice for a whole year and play every single tournament there is, this pair is not going to win any medal at the olympics. They are too old for that. Also, remember, apart from other top, younger combinations, every top singles player will try his hand at doubles in the olympics. A Roger Federer plus any other top swiss player will definitely be a better bet than this warring duo.

Through Both of them Out of the Team. This is the Decision one must Take for the Future of Team, Else Everybody will do this type of Stupid Ego issm.

Give Chance to people who are willing to give Life for the Country.

If they give No Respect for the Country they should be defintely out of the Team.

Country Should not Request/Peg both of them. Because then Millions of People Respect going Done.

Paes-Bupathi
by Paul Deepak on May 23, 2008 12:14 PM  | Hide replies

There is no need for Paes to prove his patriotism, since his Davis cup record speaks volumes about it. It is upto Bhupathi to prove his own character. Both Paes & Mahesh are blessed with great talent. Both should think of making the country proud. They should go for the Gold. They must think of the sacrifices made by so many people who have given everything they had for the country and yet forgotten. But if these two win a Gold or even a bronze, it will fetch them a fortune. Finally, if Mahesh feels that he cannot win a medal with Paes as a partner, then he should be dropped from the team. Paes should partner with any other youngster.

Paes-Bhupati spat?!
by Khandavilli Sateesh on May 23, 2008 11:30 AM

Paes and Bhupati are small shrubs in the desert. In the broad interest of the tennis in india both of them should not be allowed to allowed to represent india anywhere. They are two selfish fellows looking to get a hold of indian tennis. Afterall system is above the individual interests. Can you imagine Sachin saying Dhoni should play in the indian team if he has to play? This is just going overboard and media should stop highlighting such mediocre players. Reality is they never won a major tournament individually!

Sanjuy Dutt & Sania Mirza
by Rich Man on May 23, 2008 11:23 AM

Sanjay Dutt & Sania Mirza should sit down and solve the problems of these tennis players. They have a bigger role to play in this matter than the Indian Tennis Association.

OK guys, no medal this Olympics for India. Let us pray for some common sense in our two leading tennis players.
And I certainly do feel sorry for Paes, for he has always kept his country above anything while playing....

Arrogant PAES
by venugopal velloth on May 23, 2008 09:45 AM

Paes must do an introspection to realise that he and his arrogance is the root cause of the Problem. By blurting out again all these unwanted things, you are only adding fuel to the fire. You are no the epitom of National interest.

what happened to Sania?
by Harinder Singh Mehbub on May 23, 2008 01:37 AM

Is this woman going to compete in olympics on behalf of India? She had whined a lot and said she will not play in India. Will she play for India? May be we should show some pride and send other players who are more willing to play in India and play for India.
