Both should acept each others point of view
by vijay on May 22, 2008 08:44 PM

Well both are little bit at fault here.Buphathi by showing his reluctance while paes by retorting back has complicated the problem.I accept Bupathis
one point that they should have played one tournament before olympics.Last olympics also due to lack of match practice they were ousted quite early. They may be our very best ,but without rithum even ameature can beat them. Here leander is showing casual attitude. We must understand before important tournament all the top teams in all the game do opt for atleast 5-6 matches with good opponents. Take cricket world cup for example.

hope better sense prevails..
by Summit Khanna on May 22, 2008 08:38 PM

for the sake of india's olymic medal hopes, we just hope that better sense prevails and both leander and mahesh agree to play together in the olympics. this does not mean that we would win a medal, but that is our best chance. so, guys, just go for it. u can quarrel the rest of your life.,

bhupathi's behaviour
by jaya kulkarni on May 22, 2008 08:01 PM

he is the one who has ego problem. He is poling the other players also like sania mirza etc. He is not for game as such. He is selfish. Nationa should come first not ego. He is childish & jealous. he shouldn't be allowed to play tennis at all if he doesn't play for country. because of his attitude he lost out on world no. one ranking in doubles.

Bhupathi's Business Interests responsible for the spat?
by Subramanian Srinivasan on May 22, 2008 07:53 PM

Bhupathi is not only a tennis player but also a sports company owner, he has his own business interests and that clash with the interests of the Indian Tennis. I feel all Bhupathi's decisions are guided by his business interests and Leander/Indian Tennis is made to suffer for this. Uptil now I was feeling Bhupathi has some real issues, but now it is clear he want to outshine Leander in all fields (At an age of 33 he cannot better Leander in achievements on the field) so he is trying to humiliate Leander, as well as further his business interest using his sports company as a tool (showing the carrot of promoting the young guns of tennis).

Lee-Hesh spat
by Ibrahim Rehman on May 22, 2008 07:49 PM

Guys, please spare us the theatrics. If u can play for India minus the nakhras, fine, if not, don't worry, we'll find someone else. We are used to coming back from the olympics without any medals. Even if u guys do participate, I don't think u have it in you anymore to get us some. So, get a move on.
