Anju,We never expected from you such a comment.Usha is always great in our mind.Nobody can question her achievements. Please avoid all these kind of ....
world class or no class, PT Usha has inspired a generation of Indian sportspersons. and if Anju is world class why hasn't she won anything major after that World Championship medal. the grudge started after PT Usha criticised Anju's husband and coach Bobby after her performance in 2004 olympics.
everyone has ones own role model. But there is no reason for Anju to publicaly say that PTU is not her role model. have your role model and say that he/she is my role model. lets put in simple things. Any aspiring tennis player can have his role model. but there is no need for him to Leander or Mahesh as his role model if he is having others in his mind its good do not say that Leander is not my role model because he is not world class (ofcourse he is.. just as an example) but he is a good player. i have seen some of her performance in TV. its not that much expected out of her... Usha did well in turning down her comments. that is bad for Media. they might have wanted to create something big out of this.

I agree with u. I guess it's all a MASALA from media to get an issue for Debate.
its ridiculous wht we're hearing...Anju should never have used such an inappropriate dialogue, especially to a lady who was an icon of Indian athelete, the total moral on Anju got depleted cause of this.
Anju should realize that she is in a different era than Usha and Milkha Singh.
I can even digest her comments about Usha.... but to comment on "The flying Sikh", Milkha Singh is outright dirty. Remember, Padmashri Singh was born in 1935 in present day Pakistan. He endured partition and relocated to India. In the process he lost his parents!! Inspite of a troubled childhood, he had the determination and killer instict to make it to olympics.
To read he olympic exploits, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milkha_Singh
Remember Milkha Singh was 25 years old when he competed in the Olympics... too old even by the standars of the 50s!
