RE:whole nation responsible

You have made a valid point. But responsibility is always more for who are at the helm and Gill bein in rein for last 14 years and given the state, ofcourse he has to stand up and take the responsibility.
Don't ever expect KPS Gill to quit. He will not at any cost. I don't think the heads of the various sports bodies in our country have any shame. Their concern is not the performance or image of the team, but their position. They will cling on to the post whatever happens. It is disgraceful that after the debacle he blames the umpires. Lets honestly accept that the standard of Indian hockey has been declining for quite sometime, but the IHF Chief and other officials were too busy warming their seats and enjoying life at the expense of the IHF to even notice it, leave alone take corrective action. Sports in India can prosper only by the efforts of individuals and not the governing bodies, which are managed by people who don't know the game or are only there to look after their oersonal interests.
MR GIll kindly leave. u had your shre of time and opprtunities. Its time to accpet that u have failed. its time to pass on the baton to a more capable person. Plz dont hold the honour of the nation hostage to your ambition.
