Please downgrade Rahul to 9th place to bat as a tail ender after Zahir Khan. Dravid can field and take a few catches, but he is a flop as a batsman at 3rd position. Losing his wicket at third position for an insignificant number of runs hands over the initiative to the opponent team. This is a great set back to Indian team.

Rahul is out of form. Let him play Ranjit Trophy for a season, regain form and then stand in queue to be re-inducted to the Indian team for international matches.

Talent
by PVD on Dec 18, 2008 09:52 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

People are talking a lot about dropping dravid and asking him to retire., Hope they are not looking into one aspect.

If Attapattu the srilankan cricketer has born in India he would not have got a chance to play international cricket because he scored one ducks in his first 8 innings still srilanka supported that guy and he prooved his ability

Even now you see "Hayden" and "Ponting" are not performing and they are in lean patch but I hope no austalian citizen is crying to drop them from team and asking them to retire because they realize the ability and know about the game

We should learn if not all atleast this culture from other countries

I was just talking to my colleague (Australian) at work in Melbourne and he is crying for Hayden to retire and give way for another youngster. I guess people who talk about dropping senior players every where. It just shows different approach from different minds.

Poor England

They Agreed To Resume The Tour even after Terror Strikes, Won The Toss, Batted Well, Dominated The Test For Three and a Half a days, Gave Half of Their Match Fees to The Mumbai Victims, and Still End up on The Losing side. Pity Upon England!!!!!!

Re: Poor England
by Moses Joseph on Dec 18, 2008 12:24 PM  Permalink
The problem was: The two very slow centuries was indicative that England was on the defensive (playing for a draw). Suddenly they decided to collect some quick runs and declare and play for a win. In the process, England lost wickets in a heap without scoring runs. They should have continued to play slowly and should not have declared. That would have got them a drawn match.

True, Anil Sngh! The Cochin Maharaja who watched the football match said: "I have enough funds. Buy 22 foot balls and give one each to these guys who are fighting for one ball".
