by Kalyanaraman Vaidyanathan on Dec 18, 2008 03:16 PM  Permalink

Nowadays india is playing with full team spirit rather than individual's game sparkling. In that side Captain MS Dhoni does the wonderful job to bring up the teams integrity. Do Maintain the tempo continuously. Well done India.

Indian team shuld not be complacent of the 1st Test glory. They should expect the worst and fight hard and give their best and win the second Test match.

STRAUSS AND COLLINGWOD
by Moses Godwin Joseph on Dec 18, 2008 12:51 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Strauss and Collingwood were too slow and defensive. Towards the end, they were just blocking balls and did not want to lose thir wickets. They were playing for their centuries and not for winning the match. With this background, the Captain should have played for a draw and should not have declared. The wrong decision cost him the match.

Weren't England 9 down when he declared? How much longer do you think they'd have lasted? Not enough to change the final outcome...

TEST MATCHES AND TRAINING GROUNDS
by Moses Joseph on Dec 18, 2008 12:42 PM  Permalink

Test matches are not training grounds for out of form players. We have to fight the matches with our best players. Drop Rahul. Train him at Sports Institutes to regain form. What are the selectors doing? Trying to please Dravid?

ENGLISH COMPLACENCY COST CHENNAI TEST
by Moses Joseph on Dec 18, 2008 12:33 PM  Permalink

The English team was complacent and 2nd innings. The Indians were wound up to fight in the second innings. We have seen the result.

Wasim Jaffer is not even in the 15 member team! Are you not aware of that?
Considering who is available, it's best to get Murali Vijay playing.

Jafar has lost out on any chance now. Rohit Sharma is an ideal replacement instead. Sachin can bat 1 down if required. Also, will the selectors please give a chance to Cheteshwar Pujara and Suresh Raina?? At least include them in the 15 selected for future tours. These are extremely talented guys who are languishing on the sidelines.

I hate to say this, but Dravid must go back to the Ranji and get back his form. He's still capable of getting back his position, but at the moment he's a liability rather than an asset. He's dropping catches which he would hold half asleep. In fact, he even dropped a helmet popped to him from a distance of 3 feet.

DROP SACHIN AND PROMOTE DRAVID
by test on Dec 18, 2008 12:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

HE IS THE WALL..SACHIN can never think of playing like Dravid..he scores when people like sehwag, yuvraj help him

Well just 2 wickets down and no pressure ,all he needs to do is rotate strike while dravid scored his 200 against australia when India was 5 down..and he played that knock in AUS and not in India..

overhyped sachin

And by your suggestion, you are saying that Dravid can score even when there is no one to support him at the other end? Are you off the rocker?
He has always received support from some batsman or the other during his big knocks.

Mr.test, what is your real name? Let me assume it to be "CRAZY". My suggestion is include CRAZY in the team and exclude CRAZY's nominee.

Drunk or sober, you don't know the game pal. Perhaps you are a frustated would be player who got thrown out of your galli underarm rubberball cricket team.

Talk some sense man !!! You talk as if you know the game better than Bradman, Lara, Ponting, Viv Richards, Kapil Dev, Gavaskar and other greats. Go play marbles in your backyard.

Boycott calls sachin as India's 20 for 2 man since over a decade. He used to come and perform when India's first 2 wickets used to fall in 20 runs.

CATCHES WIN/LOOSE MSG.
by JKNATH on Dec 18, 2008 12:00 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

THIS ONLY MSG. TO BE SENT TO ENG. CRICKETER. IF THEY HOLD THE CATCHES OF THE TENDULKAR THEN THE INDIAN TEAM WILL COLLAPSE VERY UGLY AS WE HAVE SEEN EARLIER BECAUSE THERE IS NO STANDARD OF THE INDIAN CRICKETER.

Same for India, if they hold the catch of Strauss when he was on 15 then it would be easy victory for India.

Then England can survive but if Tendulkar then it will result another, this is the tradition as we had earlier in reign of Gavaskar.
