We just keep on criticising our sportsmen for not bringing medals. But what right we have to say so. We never played sports or took in interest in it, sice we wanted to study,go for engineering,IT,medical, then make our career and earn money. But our sportsman have taken a different path, They have layed there entire life to sports, even knwoing that there is not enough money in sports other than cricket,no fincancial secirity, no support. no future once the sports is finishes. Hats of these people, they make us proud.

Jay bhaiya, They have only chosen sports because they failed at else fields you mentioned....This is the Formula of our success at Olympics....
Abhinav was invited by pm,speaker,president coz he won one gold..if USA does this,white house will be filled with sports people coz they win a lot...poor India..

things dont change in a day..this first gold by abhinav bindra is sign of change though we had to wait for it too long..so it needs that kind of attention, praise and adulation so as to encourage other sportsmen to perform their best..also indian boxers and badminton players have shown their potential in beijing..the indian sports will only improve from here and then we will find regular place in medals tally at olympics..

I agree. Rather than blaming anyone, everyone shud do it himself. Bt again cricket being the only sport full of money, its very diff for a person to join a sport which does not enjoy the support of the Govt.

This man will be a fish out of WATER literally if he comes to India. He wont swim in Indian Ocean or beaches of GOA na ?

i do agree, and subsequently when he is considered god, all his focus would be on Adds, commercials,, etc.. thank goodness he is not an indiian
