He should have been taken in an open van across the main roads of the city....his achievement is far better than the 20/20 world cup win......... we did it for those useless 11 dopes....
gone r d days of our sporting glories. Indian hockey team failed 2 qualify. No Milkha or P t usha reborn. worse still Beijing bound Athletes failed 2 even qualify xcept abhinav n sania nehwal. lucky 2 bring gold for ab. wats d standard of Indian sports. sania mirza's mom elevated to be her coach. unless we fix responsibility and maintain accountability, Indian sports will b doom. See how sports r promoted in a small state like Manipur. 5 Manipuri players in Indian football squad winning AFC cup. 4 in Beijing squad, many Olympians til date. tops medal tally in national games etc etc. But look at wat they did 2 Manipuri players like Monika Devi.kicked out of Beijing because of politics n favoritism. Suresh Kalmadi, Gill, Rao n all those traitors should be hanged in public. remove politics from sports n keep cricket at bay. needs someone like Hindustani for a change.

The trouble is that the sports in India are politically controlled, where as in the world countries politicians play no role in the countries sports. Except encouraging the sports man and providing the right facilities right at the early age from the time child is born. Indian sports people are in some way related one or the other politician who wants maximum cash from any event. Sports men/women are not chosen bon merit but who you know. And those who don’t obey this rule are dragged in to some kind of controversy. Such as Sania Mirzas flag issue. What a waste.
congrats abhinav sir..... u did a great job for our country tooo......great achievement for an individual..... we all are proud of u .....for ur hardwork,workmanship....... salaaam......

y to tease a bispectacled player or even a studious person. there r many bispectacled players even in ckt. but u may not know them as they wear contact lenses. like sourav ganguly, anil kumble, parthiv patel and there may b many others which readers can quote here...
Our cricters demi god are lucky that media and fans are busy encashing abhinav's new found glory..and not discussing cricket.. the indian team should donate at least 11 crore to him to have saved their asses from public by diverting their attention to hot now forgotton tommorow sport.
PPl are having fun now since AB has won gold, and cricket is now easy to criticise for team india lost 1 series(ppl forgetting the bad umpring that cost us). The same people were partying for t20 wrld cup win. What people dont realise:
1. World champs 83 2007 2.Richest body in cricket 3. Cricketers spend 300 days away frm fmilies, so money is justified 4. Cricketers spend 5 days in the sun playing test cricket 5. If they lose, then ppl burn effigies, threats
Cricket is one the worlds best team sports, and we shud be proud that TEAM INDIA is the wrld best team. Bhajji sreesanth are the face of new aggresive India. Jai hind

Cricket is the unofficial national sport of India, and its development has been closely tied up with the history of the country, mirroring many of the political and cultural developments around issues such as caste, religion and nationality. Though cricket is indubitably the most popular sport in India, it is not the nation's national sport (a distinction held by field hockey).

The problem is not that India has one of the best Cricket teams.. The problem is that Cricket is the ONLY good team that India has.. Why can't other sport's team get developed?? Where are India's Football, Basketball, Volleyball teams?? (all sports with more world recognition than cricket) Where are India's Cyclists? Divers? Gymnasts? Swimmers?

Yeah! That's the biggest drawback. When Sachin hits centuries, everybody starts idolising only Cricket forgetting there are many other sports. When Bindra strikes Gold, everybody thinks of taking to only Shooting & nothing else.
EVERY PARENTS WD WANT HIS CHILD TO BE ABHINAV... What an idiotic mindset! Start thinking of Sports broadly, only then can we think of becoming world - beaters. Why would somebody who wants his child to learn Badminton or Cycling or Swimming send them to Shooting instead?
