No one can gurantee gold in the next olympics. If Bindra has got one for India and that's with his efforts and money, he should be praised more than Sachin Tendulkar who had the support and infrastructure present in Mumbai to excel his game. He created an A/c shooting range with his money and MIND YOU REMOVE HIS MEDAL FROM THE TALLY AND FEEL THE EFFECT. IT IS SHAMEFUL A COUNTRY OF OVER ONE BILLION PEOPLE HAS ONE MEDAL SO FAR AND THAT TOO WITHOUT THE HELP OF GOVT OF INDIA.

You feel your self shameful ........
If you r an indian please feel shameful for your self and your life....have you ever yourself entered in a sportsfield....any sports field ...have you ever participated in the sports event for a sport you like from your heart.....
This is the condition of 99 % indians ....no sports in their life ....only sports they like is dirty politics......& above alll cricket ......
Remedy for devastating condition of Indian sports erena is first Ban Cricket & Politics in India = 10 Gold 20 Silver 30 Bronze medals in next olympics, Asian games , SAAF games , commonwealth games.
Indians should stop complaining about governments efforts for developing olympic champions . People themself with the help of Big industrial houses like TATAs , Ambanis , Mittals , Birlas sould start mission 2012 for developing and nurturing the champions in various sporting events...

why dont you try to get one for the country rather than feeling shameful. u will only write comments and not do anything, bcoz thats best you can do for this country. use your energy to do something positive than waste on criticizing. we have enough of them.

YOU, ME, WE ALL ARE PARTY TO IT. WE ARE ALSO A PART OF ONE BILLION PEOPLE. HAVE WE DONE SOMETHING GREAT FOR THE COUNTRY, THAT'S THE QUESTION WE SHOULD ASK TO OURSELVES FIRST.

Yes dear Anil, perfect. All these above people here who are criticising Bond, I bet they themselves have done nothing for Sports neither will they do. All they can do is empty talk & criticise other people who try to express their hertfelt felings on this forum.
As for me, even I am not a good sportsman or anything of that sort. But I have at least tried to make up for it through my daughter. Started sending her for Swimming & Cycling. She may or not be a world beater later. But at least my heart will be happy that I have tried to do something for Sport other than empty talk.
Its abut time ppl of india realized tht champion sportsman come from North... south does have its own talent in IT and shud concentrate on it...rather than try a hand in sport.... I think this is the best way for india going forward

Dude.... Never knew that Saina,Sania,Gopichand,Prakash Padukone,Anju Geroge,Leander,Bhupathi,Sachin,Rahul,Saurav,Laxman,Kumble,VIshwanathan Anand etc are from North ? It was ok if some layman had said this. But if someone who has access to the web, who can read and write english says these kindda words, then you need a serious reality check Saumil.Think before u speak.

Abhinav who?
U can now see him dancing in 'youngistaan' pepsi, 'dil mange more 'coke', samsung,LG etc. And he wont win a medal in next olympics and people will say because he was shooting for ads, he dint practise. So plz stop blaming cricket from now on..remember 83 wrld cup 2007 wrld cup champs. They do ads but they give their blood and sweat for the country. The passion shown by Bhajji,Sreesanth, Sania,Bindra are the face of New aggresive young India

message is conveyed properly and it looks better than your damn SMS language. CRTICKET TO BE BANNED... NO DOUBT. IT RUINS THE COUNTRY AND AFFECT OVERALL PRODUCTIVITY
Kudos to his efforts! He has made our country proud. People came out in large number to welcome him, but not so surprisingly, none from the sports associations, ministry was present.
It seems that the gold achievement of Bindra has not gone well with the IOA, sports associations, sports boards et al because they feel ashamed inside as none had an iota of contribution towards this great achievement.
The irony is such, we all know who is BCCI head, but we do not know who is our sports minister and it is a fact. Mani Shanker Aiyar has the charge of this ministry but his work is more towards vote bank politics that is panchayats reformations. Mani Shanker Aiyar in one of his interview alongwith lady panchayat head called city woman as Parkati ladies. While saying this he forgot his wife and also his late friend's wife i.e. Sonia Gandhi are also Parkati. As long as such minister and such depressing attitude will continue, India will deprived of medals. Truly, we are a dustbin country where the difference persist between people is only minimal people are either outside dustbin or inside.

Yes, but his victory is so public, that its difficult not to smile and have a good guffaw in private !!!
No doubt Abhinav's is a great achievement by any means. Only the best of best can win GOLD. Best of best doesn't mean the best of best talents. Apart from talent and hardwork some many other things are critical for success like physical fitness, world class training gear, professional coaches, competition & training with professional atheletes etc. Eventually all these factors mean money in the real world. These critical factors are missing for most of our atheletes. I am sure all of them are ultra talented. But talent alone won't get them GOLD. Infrastructure is the key, which India is lacking. Abhinav was lucky to have his rich family's backing !. His dad claims he spent crores on him. Not all athelets get that. If we can find a way to get world class facilities for all our atheletes, one day we will garner atleast 50 medals. GOD BLESS INDIA. Hope this success triggers an avalanche of olympic gold rush. Hope private sectors will invest heavily in our atheletes.
