But r u sure, we will get medal even in cricket / Looking at our past records of slipping at crucial events - matches , I dont see v can get medal in cricket , evenif it is included... Thet want more tax compliance, more taxes , duties and eventually neither they spend it on infrastructure nor any other activitiesincl sports... Bloody hell ,,, Bureaucracy..and Politics... they r doing everything they can to make India go to bottom.

Why are you leaving judiciary behind? The most corrupt place in a district head quarter in India is the Court Premises or Kachehari!

We have to raise voice agianst. The educated and informed have to join hands and uproot this vicious cycle.
We live in bheedtantra where decisions are taken according to numbers. The people who have hold on some sports do not want allow anybody else to grow there. In fact, it is easy to grow for somebody in abroad than Indian their own country. So, if somebody is talented try somewhere else not in India.
I guess Indians lack mental strength at crucial times.Even today Mansher Singh who has qualified for trap finals was no2 till round 2 (25/25 and 24/25).In 3rd he had 20/25 and rocketed to below 10.
PARTICIAPTION IS MOST IMPORTANT. WINNING OR LOOSING IS PART OF GAME. IF ALL INDIANS WANT GOLD MEDAL TO OUR PARTICIPANTS WE WILL RECCOMEND TO oLYMPIC aSSOCIATION TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF GOLD MEDAL REGARDS suresh kalmadi

This is the most idiotic response from a authority of Indian Olympic association that paricipation is good enough, just like all the corrupt politicians, and Kalamadi is a politicin, without pride, shame or sense of responsibilty, and just shaking his incompetence by making this comment. Why dont we save this money for some scholarships, so kids can go to college, than wasting and paying salaries to guy like kalamadi. God save my Mother Land.

hahahahahaha.....wat a comment!!!!!!yeah, participation is most important but particiapte to win must be the aim..do or die is to be shown on world stage...participation is important in the learning stage...see how many of old players fo India are participating in this Olympic....

Winning comes easily to us if there is some trust vote in parliament. Rest of the time we are just a bunch of loosers. Why not ask the BCCI to bid for foreign athletes as they did in IPL. May be then we can win. Otherwise we will always be participating as sitting ducks as all other countries snatch away medals.

Mr. Bishal BCCI is not having any role in Olymnpic. This is the duty of IOA(Indian Olympic Association). This is just for your information please...
we expect gold in olympics. in olympic you have to perform to get gold. they are not alottings goldmedals. first make set up to get players to try for medals. name any indian medalist in olympics, who get medal because of government help? our system only makes failures. indians try for medals on his own. shame to government
RE:indians in olympic
by Radha Krishnan on Aug 09, 2008 12:48 PM
You can expect anything. Why only gold there are other medals such as silver and bronze. This is your problems boss. Our participants never expects a medal. They are absolutely right because they know their capability
RE:indians in olympic

So what is the meaning of Indian Olympic committee and why Indian government make expenditure on this? What is the meaning of Members who are sitting in top position in this committee? If a player knows his/her capabilities than why our so called coach appointed? India is full of corruption and these type of matters are not benefited to this country.
RE:Olympic officials
by ANIL JAISWAL on Aug 09, 2008 12:50 PM
why not we try our officials as players also. players are loosing, officials will also loose. but we can save money by cut short members list for olympic. what you think about it
RE:Olympic officials
by Radha Krishnan on Aug 09, 2008 01:20 PM
when the money to be spent for others u can do malpractices, if you spent money for ytourself and you are accountable for the same u have the restriction for doint he malpractice. Poor officials. Let them earn money. We the indians always supporting malpractics which we cannot arrest with the present law of the land
RE:Olympic officials
by Radha Krishnan on Aug 09, 2008 12:50 PM
For this reason only Olympic is conducted in different countries. Poor fellow you know this only now
Even if there is talent, the infrastructure is very poor to harness and nurture the talent, the facilities provided to sportspersons are pathetic...corrupt government is handing over all the empty spaces to greedy builders...except for cricket and upto some extent tennis, there is no future for other sporting activites in India...
It will be very diffcult for India to win a medal and if they win at all it will not be more than 1... sad in a country of 1 billion, there is not one person who can bring glory to India at the Olympics
India will win a DIAMOND(IF THERE IS ANY), GOLD, SILVER AND BRONZE medal in EACH OF THESE COMPETITIONS: SPITTING, BEGGING, CORRUPTION, SCAMS, LITTERING THE STREETS, MAKING NO. 1 AND 2 ON THE STREETS...
RE:INDIA'S GOLD MEDAL CHANCES
by Radha Krishnan on Aug 09, 2008 12:56 PM
about your last para... This is all happening in the other country. Dear friend you shouldnot blame the Govt. Our Govt is spending lot for the improve ment of the sport activity. but unfortunately the monitoring of the fund flow is followed. What the sport Authority of India is doing. What Indian Olympic Association is doing. What happened to ICC and IHF. What happened to IFA,IWA. What we need is a good IOA who will select the people and train them for the next Olymipic. We usually used to select the participants 4 months before the Olymic date. A national level debate is required on this subject. Let us protest ourselves first. The entire Nation shole have to wake up at least now...

yes..i know this is happening in all the countries...but India beats them all
watching opening olympics opening ceremony,i feel we should now stop comparing (imagining to do so) mumbai with shanghai and india with china (indi chini bye bye) ,bcoz though we are neighbours we seem to be atleast 25 yrs behind them..just bcoz we lack killer instinct and will power to do so.. Jai Hind.
