I do not understand why so many successful Indian Muslims with mass appeal are behaving like an ostrich and pretending all is well for Muslims in India. A these terrorist organisations are adding fuel to the fire and hijacking their religion - it is time that Muslim leaders, Moulvis, sports people, artists, film stars all come in open denouncing these terrorist activities. If they have a problem against American atrocities in Iraq - they should also remember America bailed out millions of Muslims in Bosnia and Kuwait - while the rich Princes from Brunei and the Gulf went on their Spanish cruises and God knows what. I strongly believe there should be a strong campaign launched by industralists like Premji, sports people like the Pathan brothers and Zaheer Khan, movies personalities like Dilip Kumar, the Khans including Feroze and Sanjay, political leaders from all parties be it BJP, Congress, BSP, JD - OPENLY DENOUNCING THESE TERRORIST ACTIVITIES- The young generation will need to see these positive messages coming from the people that the muslim community looks up to. India needs to dedicate all resources in a positive direction as population grows - the demand on our natural resources and environment grows as well. All this terrorist bull - please go and fight Israel in Israel - if they genuinely care about Palestine - fight America in Iraq - India houses nearly 150 million Muslims - all free to practice their religion - move up in society through merit.

Most of these muslim leaders in other fields secretly enjoy whenever there is a bomb blast or a terrorist activity. Especially peeople lile javed aktar, shwruk khan, other khans, mahesh bhatt and others act as if nothing is wrong with the faith they follow.

Navneet, I do not believe that there is anything wrong with their faith but Muslims are allowing these terrorists to hijack their religion. I believe a common Muslim is innocent and would love peace around them - that said I believe Pakistan army and ISI are one of the root causes in our part of the world. Kashmiri muslims are getting carried away by their Hurriyat leaders - I would love to know how an unemployed youth like Yasin Malik can afford all these air trips to Delhi, Mumbai and New York. Same for the so called Maulvi Omar Farooq. He married an American Kashmiri - to ensure a safe haven in US - his whole family exploited Kashmiris in the name of religion. They never come out in open against these terrorists - they have played a major role in isolating 150 million muslims in India beacuse of their selfish demands.

Atul - my friend - I may not be an authority - but I am definitely not ignorant. I try my best to do some research - educate myself on my own religion and a few others. Hadith and Quran are differnt Atul. Quran is the word of God for those who follow the Muslim faith. There are quite a few similarities in Vedas and what the Bible and the Quran preach. How many Hindus know that we have a concept of one God - one creator. The definition of kafir is not for us - as we are believers. I interact with a lot of my muslim friends and have developed an understanding of their faith. I keep mentioning - if Indian muslims could stop the hijacking of their religion by these bigots - same goes for my Hindu brothers - our India will be unstoppable.

Sanjay - I do not think how successful you are should change your passion for your religion. What I am trying to say is that these people should send a very clear message to their community that terrorism is unacceptable - you can drape it in any idealogy or religious fervor - but it is against the basic tenents of Islam and every other religion in the world. Majority of the Muslim population are uneducated and even their religious leaders act like ignorant fools - painting India as a big bad wolf out to devour them. These people are easily brain washed. High profile faces from the community have an obligation to come out in support of their fellow community members - majority of whom are innocent and in the same breath MUST DENOUNCE ALL THESE TERRORIST ACTIVITIES - BOMB BLASTS THAT KILL AND MAIM INNOCENT MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN.

Sanjay - my basic question is why not? Don't tell me SRK does not rely on his muslim fan following for his poularity. Majority of muslims like him only because he is a Khan. If the leaders like Shabana Azmi can become MPs then maybe highlight the issue of terrorism plaguing their religion.

Dear Yash, i like your line of reasoning.It does make sense. But we should all realize that muslim film and art personalities do not follow Islam. They are secular and are able to follow their goals only because they think beyond the prism of a religion. But it does help them to gain popularity among the muslim people. There is not much they can do. It is the job of a Government to enact laws regarding religion and how far it can be used or abused in a society. I believe that religion should be totally abrogated from our constitution as it is the cause of all bloodshed in this world. Hindus have done no less damage to humanity, but ofcourse the abrahamic religions thrived on war and blood to sell themselves to ignorant people. There is still time to change, and hopefully the next gen will give up religion and take to logic and science.

You guyz cant define terrorism. If there is a collateral damage in the US and UK coz of these Jihadis, who defend themselves and their country or say for any cause , the US declares them terrorist, jus coz they dont have a political power. If these Jehadis are fightin US enemies these Jehadis are shown as war heroes by the same western media. In India its a different story its all for power struggle, money. One of the BJP leaders sold his own country for some $, shown by tehalka. Is that better than terrorism?

Pak was formed out of anger, frustration, hatredness and false pride. It is the breeding place of terrorism. It wants to survive in the world map only by one diet- terrorism.
It begs alm from USA in the form of development but consumes in sponsoring terrorism. Because it knows very well that the moment it stops terrorism, the whole world will celebrate the day of peace and happiness, which it does not want.
Best remedy is to weaken the economy of Pak and ISI. 1. USA should stop sending money to Pak. 2. India should attack POK and destroy all the terrorist bases. 3. Whole world countries should sanction and boycott Pak. 4. Let them teach that Islam is not everything for them.
