Kya haraami hai... he should be grateful, instead. That too, openly saying this at a bad time.

What a time to crib in public, and he has done it before too. This ugly spectacle of India players sCatting in the open.

If he's so for India - can't he zip these divisive statements?

Have you followed his career, I have and I know this to be TRUE. Leander played with Mahesh in tournos of no importance just to get Mahesh's stock up. But he didnt win the Pilot Pen tourno if I remember, he beat Sampras but lost in the quarters or something. I begin to wonder if this article is correct cos Leander wont say something obviously false like that? Btw, he hs a right to crib about Mahesh if Mahesh has been nonchallant, esp since Leander did sacrifice his singles career. Cmon this guy won you a Tennis Bronze in 1994 Olys, you have to give him some respect. Btw great performance against Japan. Go India

Leander is just a spoiled brat! How can this not affect the doubles match in Beijing, I bet they will not win a medal. C'mon get real Leander, you were no Agassi. At least you were world No 1 with Bhupati. Check your ego at the door

Stich Paes's mouth
by Sai Prakash on Apr 11, 2008 05:49 PM  | Hide replies

paes talks without sense and I feel he is the most frustrated and cribbing Sportsman India has ever produced.
The Fool would be remembered as an ordinary player if not for his famous and successful partnership with Bhupathi.
Mahesh and he were the Top Doubles team for nrealy 2 years.
Paes was a useless Singles player.

Shame on you, ungrateful Leander. He and Ganguly are same, ALWAYS cribbing.

dear Podhmaro, talk som sense like wat red chillies did....peas is no doubt much committed as compared to any other male tennis player in india....tennis and most other sports in india suffer because of ppl like u , who talk more and doesnt put action into it.

Pls. play for country
by Vijay on Apr 11, 2008 05:26 PM

I think such comments will affect their next matches. Paes could have said this after Oylmpics or after his retirement. If he really want to play with Bhoopti he shouldn't have passed such comment. And it was his discision so why to blame afterwards.....
Atleast for the sake of country...pls. think possitive

by BalaGangadhara Chimata on Apr 11, 2008 05:25 PM

Not a sportive comment. Easy to comment on past and OTHER partner to blame for the mistakes...
Atleast he won some tournments with Bhupati otherwise, he would have won..
