Always thought Indian Hockey is dying with Cancer(politics in the IHF),but the players always upheld the spirit and moral of this nation,Once World Champions struggled in most tournaments recently. I still feel the defence is susceptable to the oppositon.we need to tighten up to defence and concede less penatlty corners(ideally none)The European pattern is well knowned they score in penatlty corners. They score less in feild goals.Keep it up Indian team Keep rolling. Indian Cricket team and its management needs to take alesson from the Hockey players of how to be focussed on the game.
cmon guys u are really making good grounds, make sure u win this event and play wid cool, never feel too much hiped as u r representing ur nation n u hv got a big task ahead i.e.,the olympics, we r really proud of u guys n we r wid u,go out n play hardn achieve ur objective n show d world to baware of us now onwards.
Well done TEAM INDIA. It been heart warming to see success for us after the recent debacles in 'you know which sport'. Keep the good work and this is the way to go .....
Indian coach Joachim has been instrumental in changing the fortunes of Indian hockey with innovativeness and aggressiveness, which was missing under Baaskaran. The biggest politicians are Gill, Jyotikumaran and Baaskaran. If they are kept out, India will be among the top nations again.

Indian hockey touched his nadir under Baaskaran. However , he was rewarded with the post of hockey coach again, thanks to politics. This can happen only in India. Carvalho is an astute coach like Whatmore and should be given time with the team.

suhas - we lost to aussies (ranked #2), won a close one against china (ranked #18) and made a good one against argentina (ranked #7)...
there is nothing surprising about that .. we are ranked 8th in the ratings for nothing
