Its pretty understood. People give undue importance to media judegment. While covering entertainment and sports, the media looks out for as many goldengoose as it can. Thats why they cover Sania Mirza who has been given a glamorous (and u must give due credit to those who have done it) image and she has a few advertisements in her kitty. And she's not even a regular top-50 in the world. On the other hand, there are at least 10 Indian athletes in the world top-50, a top Indian woman badminton player and in other sports too. But u dont get ads from track and field sport/badminton. So, the media does what it has to--to make money. People should realise it as early as possible. Stop trusting the media so much. They have changed with times and are as culpable as the other 3 so-called pillars of our society -- legislative, executive and judiciary.
