Indians is a land of crabs, who dont know the T of Tennis
by adfasd asdasd on Jun 11, 2007 07:40 PM  | Hide replies

I think we Indians are all crabs and are generally jealous of other Indians.

Probably thats why Taj is not going to make it to the 7 wonders of the world

Probably thats why we will never support Sanis who is trying to make a name in a sport which doesnt have any backbone infrastructure in India. Look at the next Indians ranking on the ATP tour and you will get a sense of Sania's achievement.

Also in professional Tennis a player normally takes 3-4 seasons before finding footing, and start winning ATP tournaments, i think Sania has already won 5, 1 singles and 4 doubles.

So lets applaud a "Girl" from India who is making her name in world tennis.

All you Sania and bashers and basically critics of any achievers are losers. You people would love to see your names in even a "Dainik Jagran", but know that probably the nukkad ka paanwala also doesnt know your names.

So quit criticizing and applaud and give support to all our achievers.

Ever since tennis started, we have had only one girl reaching top 50. Only one girl who had won a WTA tour. Lets appreciate her for reaching there and holding the top 50 position for almost two years. It is very difficult to move up the ladder after reaching top 50.
She has defeated top players like kuzenetzova, hingis etc.,
She is continuing to play in singles eventhough she is failing. This itself is enough to prove that she has the thirst to come up. She has go the guts. Not today, soon she may reach new heights and glory. Even if she did'nt she has done more than what is expected from an India Girl.
Also we need to understand, she needs money for training and travelling. The governement is not supporting. So it is always good when if she can make up some money in advirtising.
We Indians are proud of You.

not only sania i have a strong feeling that SRK and Dilip kumar were targetted for their religion.

SRK is a self made man and had a meritoric rise starting from tele serial to the most sought actor in india. Not like Abhisek, Hrithik who had their fathers behind their growth.

i read that SRK movies were become hit because of other factors not him alone. No hero could carry a film on his own to sucess, it is decided by strong script, music, direction and actors performance.

Sholay, deewaar etc were grand success because it contianed all the factors necessary for hit including amitabh- not amitabh alone.

people are loosing their thinking capability and blindly become against others because of their religion

Agreed friend...maybe what you say is right for a small minority section as well....

But the majority is with people like Sania/Dilip saab/SRK and mohammed Rafi otherwise these people would never have had been the superstars that they are....

and comments like your will only strengthen the minority mischief makers....and make their arguments stronger

Please understand i am just quoting about the few miscreants who were trying to create divide in such lines.

their only perspective view is dividing people on the line of religion and caste

Akram,
You seems to seems to be literate but writing non sense thing on a portal is not right....adfasd asdasd....has said it right....you need to change your mindset....no one in this country has time to see who is next to them is of which religion...except our THE GREAT politician....I hope this would have given some light to you & will help to change your views....& mind you Sania is a player first & than a muslim....& SRK...Dilip Kumar....are truely loved by every INDIAN.....and as far as hardships are concern it is in every field....for every person from every religion....why you are banging on muslim as a special...You need a break....

i have always said this. Sania needs encouragement but do not over-hype her. don't call her world class coz she is not yet a world beater. her strength is her power but she has too many flaws especially in her serve. over-hype and excessive media coverage have killed many a sportsperson in the past. so lets us all encourage her but not call her world class.

i hate both types of people, people who just unnecessarily hype a player and people who over criticise a player.

why should Taj Mahal make it to the top 7 wonders? the so called "new 7 wonders" list is being prepared by a profit making organisation on the basis of free and 'paid' votes. check out the wiki page

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Seven_Wonders_of_the_World

these awards are not given out by god or by the UN for that matter :D i'll be happy if the Taj makes it but won't be worried if it doesn't. Taj will always remain a wonder coz of the way it is built. so don't worry my friend and don't dig up from conspiracy theories if Taj doesn't win.

This is a great news, perhaps the best news of the day. Let us celebrate this as a national holiday, because we may never witness this happening again. I am sure Sania herself will be surprised to find herself at such a higher ranking, without doing anything exceptional to deserve it.

Stop being stupid. She reached her position by sheer hard work. Period.

You dont get ATP points for looking good, reservation or anything else. Anyways, she is playing as a professional - not for the country. Let her enjoy her game. if you are thinking that she is overrated, dont watch her games.

You must appreciate the fact that, even though she is not very athletic, she worked hard to reach the position she is in. She is one in a billion to reach TOP 50. Dont expect her to be a serina, appreciate Sania for being her.

it is really a shocking news that sania is still growing in rankings even though the stupid indian crowd (not fans) are trying to pull down the only hope they have in women's tennis!!!!!!!

our stupid public (not fans) have already killed sachin and now it's your turn sania :(

Prakash, sachin is fallen from his grace to be number one batsman in the world. For Sania, I don%u2019t think so she has achieved anything or gone to any place from where Indian public can pull her down. People outside India laughed at us when they heard about underachiever like Sania get national awards and freebees (Land) from government just to appease minorities. Yes Prakash we should really shame on us that real achievers like malleshwari devi, Anju geroge does not get same kind of recognition either from government or Indian public coz they are not have photo friendly face or body.

Prakash, I do not talking about her rank I am talking about her hype.Rank is going up and down that doesn't matter, the thing that matter is her performance even in tier IV tournament, forget about gslams. How can someone get national award on the basis of performance like this?

Dude, in preofessional tennis you dont get a rank from charity or reservation. Whatever she got is hard earned. Part of the reason is, she improved on her last years french open performace.

If you can reach top 50 my someone else s mistake, why dont we have anyone other than Sania? You are one of these stupid sports fan who never played any game or know anything about tennis.
