its disgusting to read some very cheap, vulgur & unparliamentry comments about those persons who are really doing good for the country. Can there comments be erased instead of hiding cos hiding doesnt serve the purpose. also those who write such meeages should be BLACK LISTED IN rediff account. Please do some thing REDIFF to save honour n prestige of honourable persons.

No, it never will. Cause it enjoys publishing such gossip & vulgar material. The Rediff Moderator's are paid only for moderating anything (even true facts, mind you) against Congress, Sonia, their Shitty Comrades, Bollywood (SRK, Mallika to be precise), USA etc. If rediff does publish anything against these, Rediff knows it's ass will be screwed & it will lose potential favours from them. As for anything against Personnel from Sports or any other fields, who cares? They will never fetch Rediff any Increased Business (i.e. Readers & Sponsors.)

sania is definitely a great player. cheap and vulgar comments should not be allowed to be displayed in rediff. rather fine the persons who have sent it. as one person has said sania should meet honor killings which is very bad for the country as a whole.

Stop being cynical. Who cares for how much she gets? That is her personal problem. Everybody plays to earn money. But winning does make a huge amount of difference. It has been a Victory - Starved nation in Sports. Sport for Indians is only Cricket & nothing else. We never want to (intentionally) go beyond Cricket. That is the height of our self - developed stupidity, so to say. On such a background she's making waves on her own which is more than commendable enough. Agreed that she's not yet advanced to any Finals (& One Win would be an icing on the cake.) But then, if some souls take it on themselves & model on Sania to be future winners, I think her debt would be aptly paid.

The problem with Indian sportsmen is that before they reach anywhere they are considered gods and given too much acknowledgment. They are prsented endorsements of Cr's and forget that they are being given same only becos of their game. What HAS SANIA MIRZA Achieved?? Nothing. Yes definitely, its easier said then done but not to forget that the talent is going waste in standing in front of a petrol pump and selling the brand..COME ON...She has the talent, Pl use it and forget everything..Reach the top and see How India cheers you..I HOPE SANIA CAN READ THIS...

It means "she won her second match over a much fancied or a higher-ranked player", apparently. Winning over someone from top 10 to 15 is an UPSET, but lets take this one.

"registered her second big upset" means "an upset" for her opponent ... not for her as you thought :) ... Like when Bangladesh beat India in cricket, "Bangladesh upset India" so we can say "Bangladesh register a big upset!"
I'm not an English buff, but hope I was able to clarify things!
Folks, let her first reach the finals and win the tournament...eh...Players at her age usually have 2- 5 Grand Slams in their kitty, forget these ATP tours. Its hight time she wins a good one, otherwise as usual her mouth does most talking and commercials.

Hay mindless, check your mouth, before dishing out your frustrations at Sania. I am sure you are not aware of status of indian tennis and in particular women tennis. In this back ground what sania is doing is incredible. Hats off to her. By the way what is your acheivement at your age. you seems to be either less than 5 years old or more than 120 years old.
