Sania rightly said its maturity and experience that helped her beat two top seeds. She had the game to beat the best but something was lacking and that was confidence and the killer instinct. Its great to see her play so confidently and it can only improve in the time to come.I was keeping a tab on the live score during the match against Snyder and after the 1st set Sania just breezed past Patty and before Patty knew what was happenning she was broken and Sania closed the match on her second match point.Great play and weish her all the best and i am looking forward to see her ranking after this week tournament. She should be in the 20ties.Her maturity over her game was triggered after loosing the 2nd round to Nadia Petrova at Wimbledon where she had oppourtunity to break but did not convert any of those and she realised that she had the game but its just a matter of taking chances when oppourtunity present itself.Thats a good lesson for everyone to learn. If you believe in yourself then there is no reason why one should fail.

Sania has got Maturity and Experience a little too late as far Tennis Shelf Life is concerned.
Justice Delayed is Justice Denied !!!
Her good performances at the twilight of her career will not help her too much !!!!

Whatever you say is your opinion.I suppose you don't have anything positive to say about anyone. You will be surprised to know that many established name in tennis have not won a tournament inspite of their high rankings and some won their 1st tournament only recently after playing for 4/5 yrs.Appreciate ur opinion but it make no sense.

Sania stuns, Sania sizzles, Sania scintillates !
Atta girl ! Vijay Amritraj was right when he said that give her time she will make it to the top 20. I would go a step further and say she is top 10 material. She has the big forehand and the attitude. If she improves her serve, fitness and learns to volley she will make India proud !

Bingo..correct, but a little too much attitude. Revealing that same attitude after winning much would be a good thing.

guys!! don't jump so high on a rare victory. sania has also become like our cricketers and just chasing money. compare the russian and the czech players, they have 50%less facilities available to sania and they are ruling on the top 5.

dear karthik

russians are always there in top 10, but why all indians are celebrating and jumping high, its bcoz, no indian (men or woman) had ever acheived this much success at international level....

so let us jump high and high...

Congratulations on your excellent performance in recent times. This will definitely improve your world ranking. I had given up any hope of an Indian winning singles laurels in world tennis. Thanks for proving me wromg.

You have achieved what is beyond a girl from India can imagine. You have overcome obstacles that are not faced by others in women's tennis. I salute your positive approach in play as well as after the match. Winning or losing does not seem to affect you. You are blessed.

I feel you should learn from Federer and Henin the art of winning like a chess grandmaster. To keep up with the competition with supreme facilities is not easy, so mental strength and playing to your limitation is the key.

Enjoy the moments!

Mohan,

If cricket becomes like soccer in popularity and played by almost all, we will be about the bottom - ranking below 100, fyi.

Tennis, especially women's, is an obsession in East Europe and that makes Sania's victories so remarkable. Despite every plus factor, Prakash Amritraj finds it so difficult to find a place.

Let us enjoy these moments with her.

She is more popular than them due to the popularity of Tennis in the world sports. Why u forget that chess, atheletics and all not cannot match with Tennis. Then u comment about them.. yes they all have saved our country name and all of them are proud Indian women. But Sania's name stays top among all of them.

Sania is more popular because tennis is far more exciting to watch compared to shooting, chess and athletics and gets more media coverage.
