wait and watch...one fine day we will see the great Indian dream coming true and all you nay-sayers will go into hiding :)
We must acknowledge sportsperson who are taking strides in new fields and avenues. Women tennis is no longer an also ran in India after sania,s arrival. I am sure it is inspiring many more Indian girls to take the sports seriously at that level. Good Luck Sania. Lets hope you work and play hard to crack into top twenty. Manish

Why do we keep supporting our cricketers and believe in their dreams of winning the world cup. Stop being hypocrites and take notice of the strides she has taken in womens tennis. Practically Every girl in Russia is picking up a racquet at the age of 3.and they have much better facilities too for sports but she still can stay in that league and compete in a sport hardly played in india with pathetic facilities. Isnt that a victory in itself

Guyz. First of all we need to be proud of an Indian making into the top 50 of women's tennis. Sania dreams big and it is not without a reason that she aspires to get into the top 10. The thing we can least do is to critcise her knowing pretty well that we cannot even achieve 1% of what she has done till now.

What do you mean by "need to be proud of an Indian making into the top 50"? India falls under some "reservation" category? What she achieved is great, sure. But dont talk things are not realistic. Its a good as Bhupathi saying he will beat Federrer in next game :)

what made you the judge of "what's realistic" ? unless you are the benchmark of tennis knowledge and intellect(which i bet you are not even close), you may want to temper your assertions a long long way.

she is there only for modeling purpose and to earn money from government. She even don't deserve to be in top 50. Why all are you talking about she reaching top 10. First let her enter into second rounds of the tournaments she is playing.
expecting sania to make it to the top 10 is like asking my grandma to climb mount everest!!! c'mon guys, who does she think she is fooling with such ambitions??? except for 1 wimbledon junior's title, show me one tournament which she has won on the grand circuit..most overrated sportsman in india.
Not that she is not capable of the same but she is highly inconsistent not at all the Hallmark of a Great Player. She must concentrate more on her tennis than endorsements as the Former would bring her and the Country all Fame
