Good Job Done !! Will not turn fortunes of Indian football overnight but can surely be a foundation stone for Indian Football Authorities to take some concrete programmes for betterment of this game in India. And who knows we might see India qualify for World Cup of 2014..... A Dream surely ...... Sometimes they come true, dont they .....

Great work
by maddineedi chand on Aug 30, 2007 04:54 AM

Good work guys. Its good to see India doing well in worlds most popular game.
What is important is , hope this becomes the stepping stone for the future. This should make people, who just encourage cricket , to feel that we have the calibre to excel in other sports given an oppurtunity.
Once again well done and Keep up the good work guys.

Football (American football) is more interesting
by Sudip Bhattacharjee on Aug 30, 2007 04:14 AM  | Hide replies

To me the football played in USA (not soccer) is more attractive than soccer. The American football is played hard and requires lot of stamina, while soccer is basically based on skill. There is very few strategies used in soccer, whereas, american football is basically strategy based - the coach decides most of the moves of the game. In soccer, coach does not play any important role.

Lokks like you are a cricket fan. At least you talk like one.

Let me ask you about what do you have to say how cricket compares with the equally boring baseball?

@ Lili Pingpong, who was your comment directed at? if it was towards me then i'll give you my answer. first of all, i am a fan of Indian sport. i love cricket as i love football and hockey. but it is not great to blame cricket for the pathetic state of affairs of Indian sport. where was Indian football before 1983. a true cricketing nation should have many thriving sports.

Great news!!!

Great day for indian football history.Congratulations to all the players. I pray that all the sponsors (like Pepsi, Coke ) should come forward and help indian football & footballers. Too much focus on cricket is bad for other sports.
