Why dont we focus on another green revolution instead of this F1. How much revenue can this F1 generate. Why should we think of this hi fi sports without thinking about the basic needs of the people. How many jobs can this F1 generate. How much money can go into the pockets of big guys?????????? How much is it going to change the status of peoples lives. Guys, plzzzzzzzzzzzzz think and you know what the answer would be

F1 is still a distant dream, first we need the infrastructure that mean Airport which can land Russsian jumbo cargo carriers and 6 to 8 lane road that goes directly from Airport to the F1 circuit to carry the F1 stuff.
I dont see why we're all being so negative....we should feel proud that we have an indian on the verge of becoming one of the elite 20 motorsportsmen in the world....instead of cursing Mr. Mallya and being negative lets recognize Karun's achievements and the praise he has received from Mr. Ecclestone himself...I would like to wish karun all the best....DO US PROUD !!! You most certainly have already !!!!
i think F1 is good for our country .it generates lot of employment and tourism brings lots of money and taxes so whats wrong. govt doesent have to spend any money if thay give land many private parties will look after the money so i wish to see F1 commint to india sooooooon. but people will not understand this they see in other way. god bless india
I am Missing SCHUMAcher....and i guess it is also same with zillions of fans out there....... i wish Bernie brings F-1 to india so that i can watch the race live in india......it would be a great joy! Hey guys where has Narain kartikeyein gone...... ???????

You have done enough to loot the wealth of poor people by organising horse race, pumping liquor into the market etc. If u really want to give back something to them, as somebody below rightly pointed out, fight against global warming.

Dear Nepoleon,
Your comments on Mallya and looting is very harsh.
To begin with, like few people who have indicated rightly, F1 is a globally highly popular sport. It has no direct correlation to poverty or global warming, however, not surprisingly, bringing F1 to India like somebody has already mentioned would bring in immense economic benefits setting in a multiplier effect in India.
Unless one chooses to argue the misgivings of tons of smoke due to f1 engines...which i guess, no puritan would!
coming back to your comments on Mallya, I think he is playing a pivotal role in building brand India in his own way by providing a terrific platform for the youth of India to shine through in different fields.
By he stopping to produce liquor or sponsor horse races , people in general are not going to stop engaging in either of these activities, if any, it will only encourage parallel/illegal trade. Did we factor in loss in tax to govt.?
And, Global Warming is a responsibility of every citizen, it actually means we stop using our own cars and bikes and slowing down usage of manufactured products...are we ready for it yet?? Mallya alone or anybody else cant help?
Gore, for his crusade on global warming lives in a mansion that burns more pwer than the avg. american household (pls. refer to the recent TIME magazine...)
So, it is a bit superfluos to say that Mallya is looting and should focus on global warming even if one might be prejudiced to think so!
