Hey, I remember ex-CM of AP Mr Naidu telling abt this thing (that F1 circuit will be made in Hyderabad). Whats the update?
Its good for India, as it's a major revenue in toursim, flight sectors, hotels etc.

He lost power and the Congress govt which took over immediately scrapped the project, when all it had to do was to asssign the land to the F1 guys. They claim that by doing so they are doing good to the farmers.
I read about F1 ckt being planned somewhere near Mumbai.

When Chandra Babu Naidu was the chief minister of AP, he had also tried to bring F1 to India. If he was elected again, he could have brought it here. At least, there could have been a significant progress in this direction.

Jayalalita also tried to build F1 track in tamilnadu due to rejection by central govt the plan has been left ,

Its not that state govt approval its central to abduct, the central govt don't have time to think , they are busy with fighting different issues.

... to the realities of the average Indian!
Think there are 1001 more relevant things India can do, before spending a paise in this (atrocious (for India's position)) effort

well said.. i too think instead of spending lavish money on a formula1 track, the govt. should spend on making life better for the people here.. i am an F1 enthusiast, but i still think this shud not be done by the govt. they shud instead ask a pvt. party to invest and run it as a profit center.. it could bring foreign investment as well..

Well its not about spending in 1001 ways... well you got to understand the basic that if we get F1 here then the sponsors and the revenue we generate will be helpful in implementing the 1001 ideas and developements. You guys all noe is to comment on this but you cannot understand the basics right.
