One year stint in the top ranks is enuff! Job well done .. and better is the outcome.. crores of endorsement money on its way.. so why should one keep performing? Is it time to retire, and keep busy with endorsement shoots?
Once is just enough... maybe someone else should get a chance to step into the same shoes..
Media is marketing and glamorising the talent; trying to capitalise on 'virtual success' rather than encouraging to reach to a higher level. Media Blame.
Remember sania I told you to concentrate on your game you did not listen, now you are coming down to earth, this is your Fakar brought you down and you said wrongly things for the religious leaders plus you gave interview and on sex before marriage so now you know your place. There is still time you do Tauba and pray to God to forgive you, perform umra and change your style of wearing clothes during your games. Reduce your weight as you are looking as a mother of 2 childrens.
Agree with lot of other contributors to the forum. I think the hype overshadowed the true nature of talent we had on hands.
Also we have to remember the way indians physiques are built you cannot compare the strenght and power of the European or American tennis players against that of indians.
i play tennis regulary in the US and i think the indian lifestyle does not adequately prepare us for short spurts of energy sports like tennis or ice-hockey.
Nevertheless I think people jumped onto the bandwagon without understanding anything about tennis. Sania has not to my knowledge shown any exceptional court play against any of the top players.
Sania is good young indian incon but she does not have the perfection or zest of Sachin.
Sania stop showing off yourself too much. You should practice more instead of devoting your time for commercial ads. Don't forget the respect and honour your motherland gave you when you won in your own country. Dilip.

Too much of motherland, country.. Nah.. If you haven't noticed, Sania has already made enough for her progeny. If she stays, it's only for the generations after. Right now, she's there like Tendulkar, having to do it to justify all the glory.

y r u telling what she can do or not. it is her body , not urs. beside where the hell mother india comes between. she dont represner mother india. india she represnet , but she can wear whatever she wants, her choice.it is very easy to say, y dont u go and play , and try to not to expose, because according to u thats the reason her failure. My suggestion to sania, wear whatever , play more , practice with devotion to games.games gives u adds and fame , not vice versa
Hey Guys out there in the sports world, Please do not go on sensationalizing people like sania Mirza. Her feats are just the only one and flops have been many, so stop creating an ICON of nothing. Let Sania achieve and then sensationalize her. Take a look at the russians, nobody glorifies them till they achieve and once they achieve they keep on producing results. So dont go blind with the media, they are matlabi people who will do anything to get mileage for their newspaper company.
It was better for Sania to rest for least a month to nurse her injuries build up good stamina insted of playing French open and reduce her ATP ranking. Now, Sania should excercise caution and should be selective in choosing the schedule for next four months. This will give her improved temperament and stamina. I wish recovers fast and will be back in game soon.
