Give her a break! Winning and losing is all part of the game....Just becos she is the lone star in the Indian tennis horizon u cant expect her to win all the time...Even players ranked number one lose some times...Its the whole process of winning and losing that makes a person a better player, better equipped to handle matches under pressure and learn things in every game. Nothing in India is in normal terms..Either she is a tennis goddess or "a distracted commercial minded teenager". Learn to appreciate her for her grit and determination which has got her where she is not - where no other tennis player in indian history has reached.

Sania's Doing Fine
by Nishank Modi on Jan 20, 2006 11:45 AM

You should listen to what some people have to say.. its ridiculous. Sania's reached tennis heights that no other indian female player had previously reached. After a loss in the 2nd round, people are gunnning for her. This is amusing more than ridiculous. Guys .. leave her alone and let her play.. why does half the country have a problem if she's got a comercially sensible mind .. y wont she . .she's earned it .. Think about the last indian women to enter the 2nd round of a Grand Slam prior to Sania .. i bet ur memory fails u .. thats wat this girls achieved at this age .. I'm cheering for her all the way .. lets hope every1 resists from taking shots at her for the not "Living upto expections" !!!

Double blow for Sania

Hi ..
was looking thro the mails that others have written here...i think every one is blaming media..etc etc ..but we are also missing here something ....we also have to set our expectation right....we are xpecting that she will win every day..thats not possible...agreed media is pushing her popularity chart by many folds..by covering her..but if we are intelligent enough..then why not we raisin this concern to the media....if we r perfect then media will be perfect...itsnt it???its a common question to all the people in the forum....

Fuck SANIA
by Indiscerntus on Jan 20, 2006 02:03 AM

From the day, the media has been proclaiming and leading us to believe that SANIA MIRZA has arrived and informed us of tiny pieces of detail of her lives, I have been of the opinion that she has got no special talent and all the hype around her is unjustified and totally nonsense. She\'s never going to win any major grand slam or even a WTA event, coz i feel she\'s got carried away with all the media spotlight, and that can be seen in her result at the Australian Open today. See MARTINA HINGIS, she \'s coming back after three years of retirement and still, she is blowing away all her opponents. Its the attitude and love for the game that counts!!! I feel that she\'s in it for the money and spotlight and she is bound to fade away like footsteps on sand.

ok..give the gal a breather
by san on Jan 19, 2006 11:23 PM

When was the last time an Indian women\'s player was in the top 50?...u win wome, u loose some...that doesnt mean u r just a hyped up player....if u keep comparing her with the williams or sharapova, u r bound to be dissapointed. The kind of training and professionalism they have is different from wat we experience in India...the gal just got there...with the talent she\'s got, she\'ll soon learn to be more consistent...the T-shirts and the talk are probably more written about than her groundstrokes or her volleys... we have an Indian woman to celeberate about....so pls try not to call it hype...she is quite talented to be right there...
