As everyone knows, Mittal is steel tycoon. Investing in INDIAN sports is very good initiative. He have selected right people in his Board. Other billionares ARE U LISTENING ? There was never shortage of billionares in INDIA. But they dont wanna invest their money in country INDIA. I like this guy MITTAL...when everyone in this world wants to have US or UK passport...he still carries INDIAN passport....I am proud of him....
Hats off to Mr. Mittal!! I hope he is able to realize the dreams of the common man of taking our country to heights but do not have the wherewithal to realize them. Please Mr. Mittal do not let dirty POLITICS enter this TRUST - the trust of millions to make it big for the country in sports. Hope a few do not line their pockets by taking on so called sportsmen through the "management quota."
That was a very good thing to do. My only hope is that the amount does not get wasted. It is put into good use by the apprpriate authorities. There is a big chance that this amount can go into some cricket fund or into the hands of BCCI. hope that doesnt happen.
Hats off to Mittal, great step to change the indian sports from dirty sport politics.
Iam also an athlete represented All india Universities and AP State in cross country events.
I would like to work and join in mittal trust to work towards upliftment of sports in hyderabad if he planning a branch. Please pass this message to the trust.
Mr.Mittal's trust formation and funding is laudable and all should be grateful for the efforts which are in right direction. However I am doubtful that whether it will significantly help in improving India's sporting image I feel we don't have sporting culture, infrastructure to unearth talent in any field.A genious like Tendulkar or prakash Padukon are born and shine due to their own efforts and they are not the product of sporting system in our country.almost everybody has inborn talent in certain field, say Music,Drawing, art, sports etc.Anybody can't excell in any field even if he is trained by the best in proffesion(Ravishankar, MF Hussain,Gavaskars. My view in short is that every schoolgoing child in the country should have the avenues to try his inborn talent,or say let him find where he is good at, in extra curricular activities, so that he starts taking efforts in the area, where he is good at.e.g. one may not be good in cricket but may be good in athletics Mr.Mittals efforts will shape the talents to the best of their abilities and a genious among them will bring medals but many talented and geniouses will not come to surface at all due to lack of culture and infrastruct.
As an NRI - I will try and emulate Mittal in some way. I already have a charitable org in chennai to help poor children in education. Now the next step would be to adopt some school kids to train them in sports at state level.
