Beautiful idea
by Shahnawaz Khan on Nov 09, 2005 07:44 PM

Dear Mr. Mittal,
It is an excellent idea and I'm sure you will get the full hearted support of not only the public, but also the other Business Houses in India.
We, the people of India, would rather trust a Professional Businessman, than a Professional Politician, to do a job correctly and bring out a result. So far the Politicians have done nothing else than provide useless lip service to the nation and fill their own pockets, which seem to be getting deeper by the day.
I would rather see India Inc., being run by Businessesmen than by such political idiots. Unfortunately, we don't seem to have anyway around our Political system, otherwise I'm sure most of the Indian public would have long taken the route.
India has the Talent and Potential to bring in atleast 25 medals in the Olympic Games, we only need someone to recognize and nuture the people with this talent. We need to provide them with a means to secure their future in sports by providing good training and a financially viable package.

A word of Applause to Mr.Mittal. But is it really financial crisis that india was struggling till now. We see sponsorship hoardings in every major football match, cricket matches and other sports too.Sports were never discouraged, but sportsmen were discouraged. There other factors involved like politics, red tapism, scams etc. However, there were so many sportspeople, who couldn't make their careers in sports only because of financial crisis, so Mr.Mittal's trust can provide such sportspeople with some support.

It'd be better if biggies like Reliance, Birlas, Tatas, Ranbaxy, etc to be a part of this mission to support players just like they've helped in the growth of Indian Economy.

Would Mr Mittal consider other not so popular sports like Skating?
Inline Skating is being considered to be included in the 2012 Olympics.
Mumbai has produced some National level skaters, but have absolutely no place to train .
A banked track in Mumbai would be great!
