Regarding 10%reservation
by Bibhuti patro on Jan 08, 2019 10:18 PM

It is high time to implement it and the decision taken by honourable PM Mr. Narendra Modi is historic one. Let me tell about one thing that even in general caste there are crores of families who lives under BPL and many of them are not getting adequate support of the Government. Again I would like to say that it is not the parental property that only SCs STs and OBCs will get the benefits. The political parties who willboppose this will definitely they are doing nuisence politics. Especially Mr Rahul Gandhi has done all the nonsence things who has no right to AIT inside the house as he do not know the parliamentary rules. It is also request to Sonia Gandhi please identify a girl for his marriage otherwise he will take a girl from somewhere and maintain the family history. Thanksvto prime minister for taking the historic decision for the upliftment EW S of the society.

by Ramu Mumbai on Jan 08, 2019 10:04 PM

The caste system must be abolished in one stroke. Easy. Delete caste from the constitution, thereby Reservation wud also go.

Let the poor hv 25%reservn. The financial limit being Rs3 lakhs pa for a family of 5.

The reserve and only be for college seats and jobs ...Not for promotions.

The present system has been hijacked by the rich amongst the SC/ST/OBC.

Your statements that:

- All private schools are run by those belonging to the Vaishya community.
WRONG. I do see and know closely that schools are run from all communities. By kids go to school run by Reddy, Christian. Totaly BASELESS

- It is only Brahmins and Banias who get private sector jobs.
NONE of my employ is from above caste, and for that matter, I DONT even look at their caste when I hire

Mr Illaih Shepard, Come out of 1950-60s and come to current world.

DONT'T LET YOUR OLD PREJUDICE THOUGHTS DIMINISH YOUR THINKING POWER.

NOTE: You can never be treated on par with Ambedkar, Phule, etc.,.

Tamilnadu has Maximum reservation
by b g on Jan 08, 2019 08:29 PM

Well the vote bank politics has been playing hell in Tamilnadu. The reservation is based on the state government's likes and hence it has provided maximum reservations. This is not according to the rule laid by the central government. Hence there would be no doubt if the upper class though poor would ever get the allotted seats. It is good that the state government is not able to enter private sector as of now. More and more children are deprived of what they want to study and be. It is required in this era of internet world all education must be made available to all and those with merit should get jobs. This would at least bring back the standard of education in Tamilnadu. Presently it is very poor.

Reservation for upper classes
by Namakkal Raghavendran on Jan 08, 2019 08:19 PM  | Hide replies

First Ilaiah must answer this question. It is more than 2 centuries since alleged discrimination in schooling for the so called oppressed classes ended. Why is it that even today, the dropout rate at the end of secondary schooling, is 65% for STs about 50% for SCs and about 30% for OBCs? It is less than 15% for the much reviled brahmins. Why are more no. of brahmin students completing secondary schooling than the OBCs,Scs and STs? Who prevented them?

It seems Ilaiah doesn't know the reality at all. Job is not the only profession. Many Indians (of all castes and religions) are very rich and they don't need a job to survive. Regarding pvt sector jobs, why the hell the companies will hire people for charity? They do lot of charity work but they earn through their talent pool (irrespective of caste and religion), part of their profit they spend on charity. Even the Scs and STs still need reservation because the benefits of reservation is going only to the creamy layer. The real tribals don't even know about these reservations.

Know some thing about TN: Since 1953 schools were started with the help of rich people of different communities. The reason being, at that time the Govt was not able to fund in large. Free Education upto SSLC came to TN after 1962. About 65% of SC/ST and a portion of OBCs have their domicile in remote villages. In such places the Bramin Community domicile is ZERO. Brahmins have been living in some villages wherever temples are there. However some among them are still poor as they rely on income from temples.

After 1970 more number of colleges were started and later after 1980 private colleges were allowed. Private colleges were allowed to function for commercial purposes and almost all colleges have been functioning in and around big towns. Few of the reasons for drop out after Plus two: due to non availability of nearness & Fear among people to send girl children to a long distance.

Of the total population just 2.5% are bramins in TN. In TN except Brahmins and Christians most other communities prefer to have their girl children get married in teen ages, be one of the reasons. Wherever NO dominance of communal or religious feelings are there the literacy rate is high in India. Further in TN we have larger number big towns and semi urban places and lesser number of villages while comparably in most states they have more number of villages.

Per Capita Income of TN,Kerala,AP and Karnataka is almost double of most north Indian States. Hence the quality of living is hi
