aadhar and indian poor on roads
by vasigala ramesh on Sep 27, 2018 09:51 AM

to be eligible for aadhar, one should be occupant of a house. but many indian poor have no house take shelter on footpath, bus stand, railways stations. recently the poor become poorest and even middle class also become homeless. so how aadhar cover the poor and provide subsidies and electorate rights

No Consent

Any service that was not publicized as a recipient of the data at the time of applying for aadhar should not use this information. The user didn't consent to that. Also it should not be made mandatory for any service by the government.

AADHAR......WHY NOT ?
by mahesh bang on Sep 27, 2018 09:34 AM

This person is arguing on wrong basis. No one is against poor. He says, govt should take care of poor. How? By giving food, medicines, shelter free or at subsidized rates. Where the money comes to govt for all this ? From tax payers, business man, industrial theists etc...
Unless govt encourages business, industry they cant get more revenue at lower tax rates.
If they get more revenue, they can provide better facilities to poor too.
Businesses also do not get any subsidy without producing proper documents, aadhar, PAN etc.
Govt must be in a position to identify its true citizens. Otherwise infiltrators too will keep enjoying free benefits. There will be curruption by registering fake persons like it used to happen with mnrega scheme. They looted wages in the name of dead ppl too.
How will govt know you are Bezwada Wilson ?
only if u say by mouth ? no docs ? No procedure to verify your identity ?

Illogical Narratives

Every Country has a right to protect its national interest and citizen who are part of society and the nation have the responsibility either directly or indirectly to participate in the process. The Individuals are not supreme over the country and it is the other way. It is intriguing that this person who would have traveled would have given his biometric etc when he entered UAE or other countries where it is a rule. The purpose is to ensure that in case of any eventualities which affects national interest the person has to be traced and this requires the process. Has he not read a recent incident where a person who was in state of amnesia could be connected to his family because of use of his biometrics through aadhaar. Why should individual fear if they are clean and it is only those who indulge in wrongdoings should get scared. Baseless argument to show off

It is nothing short of stupidity to challenge and discuss good initiative like AADHAR..It is the root cause of most of the problems in judiciary following the maxim...99 persons be exonerated but no onnocent should be punished...in fact innocents are punished because of lack of money/muscle power..very pathetic situation where important issues are ignored and such issues are ....

You are absolutely right. All these NGOs challenging Aadhar have vested interests as their subsidies and grants from govt that helps them maintain their lifestyle using the garb of helping the poor. Honorable courts have played into their hands. Since honest citizens do not speak up, they are taken for a ride by these vested interests.

Accepting to be part of a nation ruled by a government means sacrificing certain freedom that would otherwise be available if you live like wild animals.
People like him are true anarchist. They want benefits of having a government but are not ready to pay for it. So full benefit but no responsibility no restrain of any sort.
Fortunately Supreme Court has ruled appropriately in this matter.
