No not at all. It is not fair to caculate Sardar Patel inferior to Pt. Nehru. The correct version is, that Pt Nehru was definitely close to Mr Gandhi, who was posed to be the important figure to get independence, which is also not very fair. What Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Hon'ble Chander Shekhar Azad, Mr. Subhash Chander Bose or Most respected Lala Lajpat Rai and Gr8 Udham Singh were doing to get freedom from the clutches of Britishers. To my views, there is no comparison between these two. Since Sardar Patel and others were hard core patriot but their path to get freedom was different but more effective. But they never came ahead to get name & fame like others did. So salute the real heroes of Freedom. Jai Hind< Vande Matram .

Neharu never fought freedom struggle yet he took credit. Salves in Congress still chant Neharu name who destroyed India and Kashmir for his petty politics

Nehru areas of Problem , 1) Kashmir problem 2) Nepal could not be acceded 3) Tibet Lost 4) Baluchistan could not be acceded 5) UN Permanent membership lost

EXACTLY RAKESH-JI, EXACTLY. NOT BAD YOUR POLITICAL ANALYSIS.INDEED THE STATUE IS A GREAT TRIBUTE TO THIS IRON MAN FROM GUJARATH. WITHOUT HIS ADMINISTRATIVE AND STRATEGIC ALLIANCES, INDIA WOULD HAVE BEEN BALKANISED INTO MANY SMALL STATES, UNDER THE VARIOUS ANTI-NATIONAL POLITICAL PARTIES LIKE THE C.P.I. , ETC. NOW , UNDER THE "STEEL MAN OF INDIA ",THIS NATION IS BEING UNIFIED AGAIN UNDER THE STEEL-KNEED N.D.A. GOVT. THE PREVIOUS NDA GOVT. HAD A RATHER "WEAK-KNEED" P.M. !
