Sardar Patel being the an extremely powerful person in Nehru’s govt ( often regarded as the right hand of Jawaharlal Nehru and Loh Purush ~Iron Man of India ) was the given the charge of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India in 1947 by Panditji himself.
In the last few years since 2014, Modi Govt has tried its best to destroy facts and showcase Sardar Patel and Nehru as enemies of each other, however these statements are politically motivated and completely false.
In reality, both Nehru and Patel had lots of respect, trust and admiration for each other, therefore Sardar Patel was often given the charge of Acting Prime Minister of India whenever Jawaharlal Nehru went overseas. Had there been any conflict or lack of trust, between the two, as mentioned by Modi several times, Nehru would never have given the charge of Acting PM (and Home Ministry) to Sardar Patel so often.
Similarly, if Sardar Patel ever felt humiliated, ignored, neglected, disowned, ill-treated with Nehru's decisions or found Nehru to be incompetent for the post of PM, he could have used several opportunities that came his way to overthrow Nehru from the post of PM, especially when Nehru was away from the country and Sardar himself was in the PM's chair.
This once again speaks volumes of trust and liking both had for each other.

In our books (social studies) till 1976 there was equal mention of all the great freedom fighters including Gandhi and Nehru but 1977 books were changed and started the great game of the present urban naxal ecosystem. Tilak Lala Lajpathrai Bipin chandra Pal Netaji, Gokhale Bhagath singh Chandrashekhar Azad Rajguru kind of real freedom fighters were sidelined History syllabus changed and dynasty promotion started along with the omission of Shivaji Maharaj Rana prathap singh kind figures

Why not ask few questions?1.Was Sardar Patel not Home Minister and Dy. PM at the time of Mahatmaji's assasination?2.Was he not Home Minister when Veer Savarkar was falsely implicated in Gandhi murder case as mastermind? 3. Was he not Home Minister and Dy PM when Nehruji insisted on unconditional merger of Kashmir in 1947 before sending army to Shrinagar. Nobody can deny contribution of Sardar Patel in unification of India but do not foget that he was given free hand by entire cabinet
when everyone knows that patel vehemently oppose RSS , Modi want to show he is staunch supporter of Patel while he oppose congress men since he loose his charisma due to his inefficiency , Taking back india to 19th century and running corrupted government .Nothing will boost his image unless he take everyone for development.never saw worst PM in independent India .

The opposition was not as vehement as your are blindly and wrongly projected. Sardar Patel also wrote following lines on RSS to the then RSS Chief- There can be no doubt that the RSS did service to the Hindu Society. In the areas where there was the need for help and organisation, the young men of the RSS protected women and children and strove much for their sake. No person of understanding could have a word of objection regarding that. THESE ARE THE AUTHENTIC WORDS OF SARDAR PATEL, though he objected to overtly aggressive ways of RSS to achieve what was not actually wrong. Some workers of RSS did distribute sweets on Gandhiji's assassination and that's what drove Sardar Patel to ban RSS for some time. But that doesn't mean out-rightly took RSS as complete villains, in fact advised them to change their extreme attitude and join Congress at that time!!!

If BJP continues to rule even after 2019 elections, history will be rewritten to the extent that we won freedon only because of great contribution of Guruji Golwalkar and Sangh pariwar in final phases of freedom struggle.
History says Sardar Patel kept India united and Nehru gave Dynasty rule called Gandhi ( Indira ji - Rajeev- Sonia and now Rahul Gandhi trying his hand on politics.

for 70 years the gandhi and nehru clan were respected, worshipped and remembered. now time has come to remember and worship other forgotten heroes of pre and post independence like sardar patel, subhash bose, shastriji, tilakji, bhagat singh, azad, laxmi bai and many more. or else our next generation will forget them for ever. Only modi's BJP and not Rahul's Congress can do it.Modi is far far away from rahul in terms of gentlemanship. The whole world is admiring and honoring modiji. only some shoe licking leaders and reporters of rahul who is nothing but a confused, brainless fun machine may spew venom against modiji, our dear prime minister. have you ever seen modiji saying anything against rahul or sonia in public.

Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was the Industry minister and former president of Hindu Maha sabha who fought tooth and nail with British. JN only lighted Edwina's cigarettes.
