AG on Rafale
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Nov 15, 2018 07:57 AM  | Hide replies

The AG's arguments appear to be shaky.
How can a SEcrecy Agreement be secret in itself ? It only specifies what is to be secret and that must be known to all.

Arguments regarding pricing revelation are equally shaky. The Govt can easily reveal the individual costs of say "weapons package", "avionics ", " maintenance and uptime guarantee " etc, WITHOUT MORE DETAILS.
Even if other nations take a guess at the weaponry, what does it matter ? Such data is available freely on web sites such as airforce-technology dot com. Any schoolboy can get this data.

Do you have more knowledge, experience and wisdom than Attorney General ? Do you have any idea of serious consequences if any critical information is disclosed inspite of a clause of confidentiality in the agreement ? Why Apex court has not insisted on certain information ?

I doubt about your claim to be a retired army officer. The real army officer always show his guts and courage to disclose his real identity.

This is operation coverup by the Government under a non existent secrecy clause. The so called weaponization details is available in the public domain. That every country including our enemy nations work overtime to obtain these details is an open secret. Because the weapons excluding strategic weapons are in public domain. The attempt by the government to keep this from the gaze of the SC is a very feeble one. This only shows the vulnerability of the deal. The GOI doesn't seem to believe even the highest court of the land because there are rotten eggs in their basket.

There is no cover up. The cover up thought comes only to those people for whom the security of the nation or its people are last in their priority list. What the judiciary wanted it has been given. Tomorrow they will come up with something else. Even after the SC pronounces the judgement , somebody from somewhere will come up with something fancy and say reopen the case. The SC will again dance to their tunes, and the govt will again be asked some other questions.
There is no end to this sort of questions and there will not be an end , bcoz the whole aim to tarnish somebody. Let the SC decide on the given basis .. Leave the running of the nation & its defence to the Govt . if the Govt fails to secure the nation & its people then hold them accountable .let the SC look into many other important cases, which are lying in dust room.

If you going to ignore the G2G secrecy clause that was revealed in Public by Nirmala Sitaram, then there is no point in talking to you. You have an issue with fundamentally believing anything.

Why supreme court inerested in Rafale..? As chief justice already said that court has other priorities. They should deal them first than Ayodhya and Rafale

Wait there is a clear intent behind accepting this case by SC. The SC will not give out any judgement but will give out its observations so that it looks like there is something wrong with the deal to dent the image of the Modi govt. That is what the actual intent behind accepting the case and spending so much time in hearing the case. When the same SC says it does not have time to hear Ayodhya case how come they accepted this PIL ?. Unfortunately we can't speak moer about SC then it will be considered offense.

Who are our "adversaries"? No.1 is Pakistan. OK.Now Pakistan is so bankrupt that even it knows the complete specs(assuming that they already don't know it ),it will not help because it will not be able to buy better aircrafts. Those days of US military doles for "maintaining balance" in the subcontinent are over. Our second "adversary" is China. China doesnot bother about our Rafales that too a paltry 36 Nos. Who is our third adversary ? Well,Taliban.OK. Next????

This is easy to speak about the upliftment of the lower cast & poor in India but not so easy to compromise the upper rank or post, as most of the upper cast has enjoyed so many years by brain washing Indian people in the name of Democracy. Mr. Modi has learnt it hard way.
Now, people from the upper strata like Prashant Bhushan, Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie are trying to nail him down all the way until he succumbed to their pressure.
Last 20 years, these people use party, post, educational institute attacked him to pull down but Mr. Modi stand stall against them. They have used Media, High Court, Supreme Court, UNO, everything to stop coming him up & win the highest Post of India.
But he achieved it due to his good Karma & determination. He is still remaining favourite in the people’s Court & heart of the common people.
