The 4 judges have pick and Choose preference
by aam admi on Jan 16, 2018 07:57 PM  | Hide replies

which is not oblized by CJ.
he applied the norm- equal among equals , so it can be given to any bench formed by him.
But under influence of some out side vested interests , they came out in public to create loss to judiciary's prestige even without discussing among themselves their issues.
They acted like Labour Union Leaders.

Remember the case of one IAS officer who went public about the Time Capsule affair long long back .I remember the name of the officer. When he was ------, I remember having read in news paper the Chief Sec.'s comments:"it was"it should have done after leaving the services".''Can some workers in a factory come and hold a press meet as regards the allotment of job by the supervisor to them and still get attendance and pay.The supervisor would implement no work no pay.In India different for rule different class.Democracy??equality???

judges revolt
by mlbhan on Jan 15, 2018 10:11 PM

Honble supreme judges of the country, have found some drawbacks within the court ,regarding assignment of cases to benches of judges by honble CJ.At face,it appears fantastic & unprecedented that only 4 out of many judges feel like revolting against the working of CJ in assigning cases to difernt benches. But is this a method for solving internal differences among the highest judiciary? It appears they have worked not in consonance with oath that binds them to graceful way of working

Judges Hold Presser
by Abhishek Shridhar Mishra on Jan 15, 2018 03:58 PM

Dear Judges
Those of you who held a presser tried to inflame passions on the minds of the public by stating that democracy is in danger.
You did not join the judiciary yesterday-
a) When did you come to know that judiciary is in danger?. What did you do all these years to save democracy?
b) There are many other judges too in the Supreme court on whose behalf you spoke to the press. Have you formed a union? If you are union leaders (at least this is how your behaviour appears to be) then please give up your Lutyens Bungalow, Cars, Perks etc and say that in order to save democracy we shall join unions and "save" democracy. You cannot save democracy even as you enjoy the privileges of a judge.
c) Our jawans die for our democracy/ country? They do not get Lutyens bungalow, cars etc. They do not get pay/perks as you do. They even get bad mouthed by our own politicians. Despite that they serve us and conduct themselves in a dignified manner.
d) If you have grieviances learn from our poor jawans- they do not revolt or hold pressers.
LEARN TO CONDUCT YOURSELVES PLEASE. That will truly save democracy.

not correct
by CHAKRABORTY I on Jan 15, 2018 08:09 AM  | Hide replies

Points to ponder
1) These 4 judges were sleeping till now and sudddenly their morale rose in 3 months
2) Justice Cheleshwar was doing backdoor deals with D Raja of CPIM . When exposed both Raja & Cheleswar is keeping mum
3) Chief Justice is the master of rooster and he can allocate the case as per his wisdom.Previous chief Justices have done that so why the sudden hue and cry? In fact previous justice Chief Kehar was Indira Gandhis lawyer with lot of controversy why were the gang of 4 quiet then?
4) If there was an issue they should have resolved it within the legal fraternity rather than making a press conference drama and therby washing their dirty linen in public. They are immature and not fit for their respected position. Or may be politically motivated who knows having a political agenda.
5) Least said about Dave the better. He recently lost the bar cponcil election after friction with Gourav Bhatia hence his anti BJP rant.Dace has no credibility left so pl barksomewhere else.
6) Most dangerous drama artist gogoi is the next chief justice so what happens if another 4 judges come out and do another press conference against him? they have started a shameful precedent which is unbecoming of their position

Justice Chelameshwar head Supreme court committee for bringing improvement in the functions of Supreme court with Justice Goel and Justice Nazeer. Did Justice as the head of this committee send any suggestion or recommendation to the Chief justice. May be he is unhappy with Chief Justice Mishra as both of them were appointed the Judges of Supreme court on 10th Octobr, 2011 and Justice mishra become Chief Justice. As Justice Chelameshwar is due for retirement on 22nd June, 2018, before date of retirement of CJI, he has no scope to become Chief Justice. CJI is the head of Indian Judiciary and Apex court and has all the power to allocate court work the way he deem fit as per his experience and wisdom and no one can challenge it. If people file PIL and waste court time, Apex courts not only dismiss their petition but levy penalty to the petitioner. What can be the penalty for this four judges who stage open revolt against CJI, calling press conference during office hours, and for tarnishing the image of Indian Judiciary and judicial system ?

The opposition parties want to bring impeachment motion against Chief justice of Supreme Court ? Do they have political strength on the floor of both the house of parliament ? The communists has only 16 seats out of total 786 seats in both house of parliament. It require 2/3rd majority to pass the motion. Let them also think that the present government can also bring impeachment motion against this senior four judges. However, there are no chance for any of the above .
