Brahmins
by suravarapu gopal rao on Jan 02, 2018 08:39 PM  | Hide replies

As mentioned above there are only 3% Brahmins and they are intellligent. It is easy to snub them by the 97% by attributing anything and every thing that is going bad in the society. All the intelligentsia are leaving the country for a better living because there is no one who wants them to be in India. People are elected to power by majority votes. Population increase by any community helps to come to power. Be in power and during the entire period of power, think only how to continue to be in power in successive elections. The secret for this is, help the masses. No time is spared for developing the nation by concentrating on all communities. Hushing one community is not in the interest of the nation. In fact, the Brahmins should also be given facilities, as is given to so called minority community. Jai Hind. Jai Bharat.

There is no regretting tyhe use of English

Every man for himself. So was Macaulay “.Lord Macaulay brought the English language for his colonial logic and colonial gains.”So also Indians. There was no geographic entity called India stretching from Kashmir to cape comerin where people had a multitude of languages No language other than English can give equality of opportunity to all;neither any of the languages in use then in North India Persian,Urdun/urdu (this only when written could be called Hindi)or South or west or east had got accustomed to use of their language in the then upcoming science -disciplines.The English never asked us to write our constitution In English. We did by our choice for want of an alternative .We are not of single ethnicity or of single language speaking.English is there to ensure equal opportunity to everybody. There is no regretting it R.PONNAMBALAM

Blaming the Brahmin does not solve the problem
by MISSIONARY on Jan 02, 2018 06:33 PM

Blaming the Brahmin does not solve the problem. It has become a fashion to blame the Brahmin for Yadavs, Jats, to Patels, just to get OBC reservations.

It needs a more methodical attempt to change the 4000-year old birth-based caste system.

Otherwise BJP and Congress will be ruling India alternatively without any change in the ground realities.

There is a Brahminical resurgence
by Prakash Paithankar on Jan 02, 2018 06:11 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Firdaus
How can you ask a leading question like "Do you think a Brahminical order is resurgent in contemporary Indian society ...?"
Pl. try to understand, Brahmins are only 3% in the society. Atrocities on so called lower caste people were committed by all higher caste people who are nearly 67%.
Brahmins were never rulers of our country. Accept the reality that, all higher caste people are responsible for the atrocities, if any. Now they are trying to project that only Brahmins committed the atrocities. Foolish thought.

It is a fashion to abuse brahmins for all social atrocities, fighting mahars were members of peshwa army too, if you are fighter, how can you claim to be untouched by others, mahars were expert in weapon making, and never untouched in that society. It is divisive tactics of British rulers.

Attacking Brahmins is strategic. It is no secret that Brahmins are the knowledge powerhouse and if you destroy them, Hindu dharam can itself be weakened. That's the purpose to attack Brahmins.

Birth-based caste system is fundamental to HHinduism
by MISSIONARY on Jan 02, 2018 05:47 PM

Birth-based caste system, according to which people who carry bad Karma accumulated due to sins in their previous Janma are born into lower castes, is fundamental to HHinduism, though some try to deny that.

I agree that HHinduism is more secular than any other religion in the world, but it needs a more methodical attempt to change the 4000-year old birth-based caste system.

Otherwise BJP and Congress will be ruling India without any change in the ground realities.
