it is because the govt is not in a position to explain the situation arised during parliament. It is govt duty to explain the question put before them instead of that speaker immediately adjourned. this is not a way in democracy when there is disruption speaker should call the security and warn to take them out and start working it is equal responsible of Parliament affirs minister to run the parliament above this it is govt duty to answer each and every question raised by the opposition if govt is not agree then there is no need to come to parliament. Govt is only interested how to win the coming general election in the name of opposition about the behaviour. Earlier also there was distrubance but speaker as well as parliament minister are managing to run the parliament why this majority govt did that.

It is equal responsibility of PM but our PM hardly attending to parliament and when he is attending he is only critize the earlier PM of their mis deed. yes do agree corruption is a birth right of politicians in the that sense congress did maximum corruption and simelteneously did good work of implementation of development in India after 1947. if any can image what was in 1947 and what is in 2014 how much developed and why international community are interested to do the business with us. Yes every one is agree India was not developed as required but Indian population was tremendously raised and any govt could not control this therefore we are suffering lack of development. Earlier every farmer are cultivating their land but now no one is interested so definately per capita income is come down. Instead of critizing govt either earlier or present every one should know the real situation in India and particularly our PM should know he himself initiated to critize earlier govt. this is the ground realaity not only this in India cast is more problemetic to rule this country if any majority govt should come forward with common civil code of conduct then it may possible other than no party govt can improve this situation.Congress did castismas every one says but yesterday Mr. Amit Shah also said we will not remove reservation this means every party is interested to come power with the name of castisms then how are saying only congress is doing this. this is totally reduclues.

No pay
by ramesh kamath on Apr 06, 2018 09:35 AM  | Hide replies

NDA is right in not accepting the salary and allowances. This SS scoundrel what work he did. What these rascals doing in parliament. Nothing. It is waste of money. These MP's are a bunch of fools and good for nothings. It is time parliament rules are made very stringent. Stricy norms for proceedings should be followed. Any deviation either that party or the concerned person should be expelled or debarred. Then and then only these scoundrels will behave. These basrards think that they are Gods and nobody to question their nonsense.

@ramesh kamath:

Strictness and stringency --- who will ensure ??

Sadly, as per current rules, it is the Speaker's SOLE DISCRETION.

She has EXPLOTED that discretion to the hilt, and has DELIBERATELY NOT SUSPENDED disruptors.

Her motive -- to use the disruption as excuse to adjourn the LS, and save the govt from NC Motion.

So, what is the use of your anguished cries for stringency, as long as the Speaker is straying from the impartiality she SWORE to UPHOLD, and as long as SHE ENJOYS SUCH UNQUESTIONED ABSOLUTE POWERS ??

Clearly, the Speaker's powers need to be diluted, and the Speaker needs to be made more ANSWERABLE. Opposition needs a mechanism to RECALL Speakers like Sumitra Mahajan

It is not the real opposition party that disrupt houses. It is the remote controlled opposition party that disrupt the houses with hand in glove support of speakers. Actual opposition parties want the house to function for discussion on No confidence motion. blind supporters lap up leaders explanation and cry fault!

AIADMK, which has become a remote-controlled toy of NDA after Amma's death, is the ONLY PARTY DISRUPTING Lok Sabha, for the past 10 to 12 days.

All other Oppn parties are trying for 10 days to dissuade AIADMK from disruption.

BJP has not made any such attempt to dissuade AIADMK. (Secretly, made a deal for AIADMK to CONTINUE disruption)

Speaker is DELIBERATELY NOT suspending these AIADMK MPs.

Reason -- There are pending notices for NC Motions.

When there is a pending NC Motion Notice, that NC Motion must be duly processed before any other business is transacted, as per rules.

So, the moment AIADMK stops disruptions, the NC Motion discussions will begin, and those discussions will severely affect the BJP's sagging prospects in the Karnataka poll.

The Speaker is adjourning within minutes of the 11 am start, so that the disrupting AIADMK MPs can have their breakfast and come back with greater energy at 12 noon. She has the option of NOT ADJOURNING, so that the AIADMK MPs will run out of energy. But, no, she wants the disruptions to happen, so that she can save the BJP from the NC Motion.

This is EXACT STORY for the past 10 to 12 days. Absolutely no change in the script.

Clearly, this is the fault of the AIADMK, Speaker, and the operator of the remote control -- BJP.

Disruptions in working of parliament
by Ashok Sapre on Apr 05, 2018 07:33 PM  | Hide replies

Mr Khaire is talking like KG Kid. It is a common sense that if an employee does not attend the work for one day his salary is cut. These shameless MPs think and expect that by mearly signing the attendance register the should get all the facilities and and benifits even if they do not do any work. They do not feel that they owe any responsibility to the people who have chosen them Real shame on them

Yes they deserve salary and perks for attending the parliament and shouting and rushing to the well.Do you know how much energy is lost ? This no confidence motion is another drama by the socalled anti Modi faction, just to divert the attention of the nation from the fallois of regional parties in their states.THey are attending the parliament after breakfast in gthe canteen and taking pains to sign the register. Is it enough to prove their contribution to their consttuency? What BJP did during UPA term,so we also do it now,Enjoy the fruits!

If even dr ambedkar wanted reservation there must be some sense logic and wisdom to it....he being a lower caste hindu knows more than most here what atrocities against lower caste or dalits mean....if there is no reservation or no shahu maharaj there would have been no dr ambedkar and there will be never another dr ambedkar if reservations are not there and if any shahu maharaj is not there

AP MPs are disrupting for special status

Tamil MPs on Cauvery water

Congress on as usual some trivial issues.

Sum total is that Parliament is not functioning and all blame goes to the Speaker.

A move like no-confidence motion requires a very disciplined, organized parliament session. The kind of people we have in the house right now will never allow it because each one is trying to score points over the other. Who is the loser ? Average citizens.

Dont forget that the NDA when in opposition, did not allow parliament to function. And Mr Jaitley's famous statement that "disrupting Parliament is the right of opposition". So now, NDA is getting a dose of its own mediicine.

how many times Speaker made a honest attempt to ensure smooth functioning of LS? what is parliamentary affairs minter's contribution? it is anybody's guess who is behind the house disruption. Gone are the days when voters were blind.. now they wait for their one and only chance..
