Tipu was a "freedom fighter"NO.He invaded the then Travancore Cochin States .That was for enlarging his personal Mohemedan nation or kingdom. HE WAS DEFEATED.All his fights were for his Kingdom retention not for Independence of India.He has attacked Travancore cochin states (now Kerala) which is also in the union of India as Karnatak is.We should stop doing (Kar ) natak like this calling decendents of Babur etc as freedom fighters .R.Ponnambalam
Dear Rediff why you do not display what was taught in cl.5 in 1955 by the then Travancore cochin states.Is that against India?then why did that govt. teach so?R.POnnambalam
