In war killings do take place. War for a few days & the end of killings. The world has seen so many wars.
Tipu was known for his tyranny, extreme brutality, kidnapping women.
When Tipu was killed by the British in 1799, there were 650 slave women in Tipu's harem.

Tippu was defeated by Travancore cochin states when he invaded that state.This is what I was taught in class 5 .Rediff is not displaying that. R.Ponnambalam

When Tippu had fought Travancore cochin States he had invaded and fought for his personal mohenedan kingdom or nation where what you write about harem etc .are possible and a culture and which do not move some Indians today.He didn't fight for independence.What a wrong history being told!R,PONNAMBALAM

Tippu fought for retaining his Mohemedan Kingdom just like he invaded the then Travancore cochin states to enlarge his his Kingdom and not FOR INDEPENDENCE.He suffered defeat at the hands of Travancore cochin states then when he invaded >TO CALL HIM A FREEDOM FIGHTR MEANS that India wants to be ruled by decendents of babur.Only babur clan can him freedom fighter.R.PONNAMBALAM

Tippu invaded Travancore cochin state(Now kerala),he could not win.So he was enlarging and protecting his kingdom.he fought the British to save his Kingdom.That was not Freedom -fight.To call tippu a freedom fighter insults all other freedom fighters R.PONNAMBALAM
