Army their last love
by Alex Pereira on May 16, 2017 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

They have more love for money than their country.
Trading is their forte. Where there is trading, there you will definitely find a gujarati, even if it is the remotest place of our country.

Tax payer contributes to india
by Chanakya II on May 16, 2017 09:20 AM

Tax payer contributes to india directly or indirectly. If gujarat does nto have army people, the taxes these people pay helps in army salaries being paid and weapons being procured. I am not from gujarat but these kind of desparate statements from akhilesh is nothing but a traitor mentality

Very Brave people, specially those attend shakhas and trained with wielding trisuls, knives ,swords, stones and lathis etc. Have you not witnessed it in 2002, how they have killed thousands in their show of bravery?

Akhilesh's comments regarding lack of Gujrati martyrs were in bad taste made in haste without proper study.Even if they have fewer martyrs, one cannot question Gujrat's contribution to the Armed Forces.Gen.Rajendra Singhji who took as C-in C from Gen. Cariappa was from Jaamnagar,in Gujrat.Politicians need to think before talking.

Rajendrasinghji was a Rajput by birth and from the royal family of Nawanagar an Indian state under the British. His mother tongue was Hindi and not Gujrati. There have been many Parsis who have headed our armed services like Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw, but they are not Gujrati by birth.

They are also there in the British army (or used to be there). In the 1982 FALKLANDS War, Argentinian soldiers bravely fought the British but surrendered immediately whenever they faced Gurkhas!
