Not in my name please. Not "hindu". Read fanatical bigots belonging to hindu community.
How can sen or the documentary refer to Hindu as banal or comment on cow in a disparaging manner. Censor board is very right. can sen or documentary say such things about muslim religion?
Earlier he was working in the hand of European community & managed 2 white wives, now divorced & whole money exhausted. Now, he is working in the hand of China. Very soon he is going to marry a Chinese girl. Watch it.
If Christian Countries Can profess to be Christian, If Moslem Countries can profess for Allah, what objection Mr Sen has if we profess to be HINDUS. Perhaps it does not fit his greater game plan of destroying INDIA and establish COMMUNISM. S H A M E.

BRAINS HAVE BEEN WASHED DURING PAST RULINGS BY ISLAMIC AND BRITISH RULERS PARTICULARLY THE BRITISH WHEN THE HATRED TOWARDS 'BHARATIYA SANATAN DHARMA' WAS INTENTIONALLY DESIGNED AND THE FREE INIDIA RULERS FOLLOWED THE PWRVERTED VERSIONS OF EXPLAINATIONS !WHY? WHATS THEN FREEDOM? WE WETRE IN BAD HA=NDS DURING 1947 TO 2014 ! CORECTIONS ARE NEED MANY WAYS AND THAT'S WHY ALL WESTERN CULTURES/EDUCATIONS REGARDING CULTURE /BEHAVIOUR ARE TO BE BANNED! AMARTYA SEN AND ITS PORTRAYAL IS NO EXCE[PTION!
The article, as well as the people arguing for and against the censorship, have again fallen for the falsehood and deception of the community of that "dismal" field of study called Economics. Calling people like Amartya Sen (or Robert Solow, Milton Friedman et al) "Nobel Laureates" is an insult to the actual Nobel Prizes in other fields. First, the original Nobel Prize set up as per Alfred Nobel's will of 1895 did not have a prize for Economics. Actual Nobel Prizes began to be given out from 1901. Second, what the news channels call "Nobel Prize in Economics" is not an actual Nobel Prize. It was instituted relatively recently, in 1968, by a donation from the Swedish National Bank on the occasion of its 300th anniversary. Officially, the prize's name is "Swedish National Bank's Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel". Third, to call Economics a science is rather demeaning to other real sciences. Read about how Robert Solow got a "Nobel Prize" for an economic model that was only one-third accurate. In any other field of actual science, such a paper would be thrown in the trash can. Fourth, does any of these so called economic theories have any semblance of predictive power and have they really benefited mankind? So, please stop calling Economists who get that prize "Nobel Laureates".

True, you are very right, these are the facts. It has become fashionable to call it a Nobel Prize. Original Nobel prizes were only for sciences & peace. Again, I feel post 1947, no Indian should accept it, unless they declare it for Mahatma Gandhi, it is the duty of all Indians

Was your reply to me? If so, you are mistaken. I owe allegiance to nobody. For what it is worth, the Censor Board's statement that "freedom comes with responsibility" is utter bullshit. The same statement can and will be used by all ruling class, irrespective of political colour, to suppress independent thought and speech.
A truly resilient culture will survive against all attacks. So, the bhakths are totally wrong in attacking Sen personally. Let him say whatever he wants to. If Indian "culture" (whatever that means) is really strong, it won't be affected by real or imagined verbal attacks. No need to censor anybody.

you are talking like a illiterate and stuburn , Pahlad Nihlani is working with in his jurisdiction, his work is to check provocative material and save the interest of the society by not allowing a fool to disturb the harmony of the society.Censor Board is meant for that .
One can easily find out the biased nature of Amartya Sen's uttering. Literacy is one thing and being neutral is another. Sen does not talk like the hatred way Manishankar Aiyar talks, but his views often make me feel that he is too biased in talking politics.
If Sen is straight, he should mention about Blue Star operations in Punjab, J&K killing of Pundits, killing of Sardars in Delhi post Indira's murder... his views are lopsided
