in economic matters and failed to uplift the economy. As a Nalanda Univerity VC he was a utter failure and waste. In fact he was unwilling to work but he loved desigantion He has limited influence in Bengal but he avoids to stay in Bengal. He is US citizen and habitual of comfortable life. Only for recognition and free passage plus comfortable stay of course free of cost, being invitee to India, he used to perform all this dramma. In fact he is selfish to core and cares for himself only.
A Sen really an economist I doubt. No one can understand his talk no clarity in talk or thought his writing is always left leaning and bashing majority like any other intellectual from Bengal. He never stayed in Indian and yet want all powers from India. Pl anyone tell what is his contribution to India society. no body knows including Bdutt and R sir de sai.

I don't know why these people are called intellectuals. they talk big and do nothing for society. As you mentioned these people stay away from India and talk about Indian economy, poor people etc. their views are impractical and illogical also.
Amartya Sen has only hypothezied a lot but not done practically anything for India. His tenure as Nalanda Uni vice chancellor was anything but productive. He is frustrated since unlike UPA , the NDA government has not given him any sops or freebies. He is from Bengal and I have not heard or read a single statement from him condemmning violence on Hindus in Bengal.
