Its shameful that people of the stature of Dr(prof) Amartya Sen needs to get censorship clearance from petty film producers like Pahlaj Nihalani. And that too for his own personal views. When Mr Nihalani comes out in media and speaks about law he should ger a proper lawyer who will advise him . Being the chairperson of a film certification board he dosen't even know that he can only give U,A and not allowed to screen clearances . Not allowed to screen can be challenged in supreme court . Since he knows that of it goes to court it will be cleared he have done this. India is watching silently and understanding how anybody in BJP can talk any rubbish about not only our nobel laureates but even about the father of the nation ! Shame Shame ...

Mr.SSS, The word shameful should be applied to you not Nihalani who has done the right thing. Amartya Sen has no stature. He is technically a worthless person. A man who dares to show his nation in poor light deserves no staure.
Dr Sen considered as an expert adviser to the UPA govt could not show any direction to then MMS govt. However still he is soft cornered to non NDA political parties. He is more of a politician than an educationist.
Dr Sen has a sub- conscious antipathy towards the present government in Delhi. That's amply clear from his view points at different times. But, he fails to look at the larger picture and has a repetitive tendency to equate everything wrong with the Hindutva group. He has a convenient memory to omit the left oriented violence, which is a greater threat to the country. After going through the story, It is felt that Shri Nihalani has a point. Our media have unfortunately made a villi on out of him, though I do not agree with many of his banal censorship in certain other pictures.

It is very clear that the censor board is operating under the instructions from Nagpur. They are quick to clear a film on IG. Will they do the same thing if a film is made on Godhra riots with all the players shown in their true colors?
