I don't which data statistics you're basing your claims but according to NCRB, railway and railways crossing accidents has increased dramatically since 2014, that's since BJP govt came in centre. And 27,581 Indians died in 2014 alone in railway related accidents.

What stop all work? Most important no MPs,MLAs must attend any ribbon cuttings or Public meetings, particularly in any Capital except their Constituency. They must work 25 days in their Constituency & tour the whole constituency, without any Chamchas, by Public transport. Their Children should not be permitted to study outside their Constituency upto GRaduation level & must take medical treatment only in their Constituency in Govt Hospitals. They must prepare report on Education, Health, Water, Transport, Crimes, Agriculture, seeds, output, availability of medicines, Doctors etc., on monthly basis & send it only by Postal mail. Ministers & Dpts must in turn respond within next month, whatever is demanded by MLAs & MPs for their Constituencies. We may see some improvement if these basics are implemented. Today no one cares about attending duties in Rural areas & towns. All Govt Officials are Kings & dont care since no one to question them on any issue unless the concerned Minister, MLA or MP is affected. All Gunmen must be withdrawn for the safety of these Public representative who tour (probably) even remote villages without any Gunmen. Why after becoming MLA or MP? Is it because they are involved in illegal/criminal activities, after becoming MLA, MP? What exactly is their safety concern? No one can explain.

suresh prabhu should not resign
by RAJKUMAR on Aug 23, 2017 06:43 PM  | Hide replies

Due to carelessness of lower level staff, why should the minister resign. Prabhu ji is the best and most qualified rail minister.
The lower level/ operational level careless staaff at railway station /divission level should be punished.
The GM incharge oF UP area should pay special attention to pull up erring staff

Railway accidents
by hayavadana rao on Aug 23, 2017 06:35 PM

Resigning as Railway Minister is not the solution for preventing Rail accidents. Instead of employing honest efficient top level employees including Railway Board Members, the previous Govt. has employed corrupt persons. It is very difficult task for the Railway Ministers to identify them all. Over and above, the bribes to the respective heads by the Contractors effects the works carried out by them. Protection by the existing present laws and Reservations make medium and low levels employees lazy and to neglect the works which leads to accidents.
