RHETORICCLAIMS OF NDTV HAVE NOTHING OF SUBSTANCE TO CRY FOUL.SOME SALABLES ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR THE MUCH NEEDED SUPPORT TO BOLSTER THE SAGGING MORALES OF THIS ARROGANT CHANNEL.FOR THIS TV THE REPORTING AND THE"FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION"IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE NATIONAL SECURITY AND INTERESTS. NDTV SHOULD STOP WEEPING AND START BEHAVING. RESPOSIBLY.

No accountability, national channels are making local news hyper in such manner, it is converted as national news-common feature for their TRP.
Discipline among national, State and local channel is a must, who will bring it.

This is not the case of freedom of press. You cannot call killing of enemy soldier in War as murder. Similarly punishment for act effecting security of our country or its soldiers cannot be excused under the pretext of freedom of press.

Need code of conduct for electronic and print media
by amol oze on Nov 05, 2016 04:08 PM

Government either ban all anti national print and electronic media channels and made code of conduct and enforce strictly else court of law should take suo motto cognizance and take strident action against them.

It's high time and any nation will not compromise national security on stake stating freedom of speech or third pillar of constitution.

Were guidelines issued by the government?
by Vijay Sahani on Nov 05, 2016 03:18 PM  | Hide replies

Did GOI issue guidelines on what can be shown and what cannot be shown on television? Unless the guidelines are specific, no arbitrary action can be taken by the government based on vague and general guidelines, if at all ever issued by the GOI.

To the best of my information, GOI has only issued self regulatory guidelines which cannot be construed as legally tenable for the purpose of taking action u/s 20(2) of the Cable Act.

I think GOI is on a weak wicket and if NDTV takes up the matter with SC there is every likelihood of it winning the case.

oh! you expect GOI will issue guide lines! Very Funny. Such an important issue like implementation of Uniform Civil Code, GOI is only doing mockery, till now no draft of what they mean by UCC, still taking opinion from muslims, about UCC. Very funny code of conduct. Dont expect this Govt, will issue any guidelines. If they issue guidelines, then they cannot act the way they are acting now! Arrogant way.

This arbitrary dictatorial order must be opposed
by bala krishna shetty on Nov 05, 2016 02:59 PM  | Hide replies

This arbitrary dictatorial order must be opposed by coward of ndtv. it may not look decent and polite, but ndtv does not deserve that. it never looked like a indian channel even during cong time, though it was like cong mouth piece. it deserve the punishment, no need of crying foul about it. public simply does not bother even if both ndtv channels disappear for ever.

NDTV has lost its colour, when Dr. Roy First aired though STAR Network. Currently its Editorial Board & Its Anchor's have positioned themselves as anti India reporting. They compromised National Interest in the name of Free Media .
